Hi :)

@toofaz

When i do that (tightening the clutch cable) it will slip when the engine is cold..... i tried that already. This is why i think it's oil-related since now, no problem with cold engine but hard to shift down with hot engine. When i tighten the cable, the clutch slips with cold engine but it's fine with hot engine. I'll try a different oil (15W-40) and see what happens then......

@A-AN 07

No package received today :..( Not sure if the postman comes on a Sunday, so i'll expect it on Monday. Do you have a tracking number? Just in case......

With kind regards......

What kind of absorbers are using?

If its like the superfours' chances are the air compressed in the can is leaking.

If the absorbers are the originals' just clean it and observe it for the few days to come. if it get worsen, change..

Just my 2 cents..

Good Day Today........ counting down to operational ready 'Z'.. :cheeky:

:giddy: the showa is usin compressed air?? like as in pneumatics?? u serious ah bro?? for wat i know its running on hydraulic oil..

just some of my 1cent knowledge so as not to mis-lead the newbies here ;)

Hello again :)

I have tested the noise of my engine - it does not sound anywhere like "green beans in a bottle", there is no rattling sound coming from the gearbox, only the normal noise from an engine running. When i pull the clutch (no gear engaged) there is no difference in noise, also when i put a gear in still no difference. Is that good or bad..?

@ A-AN 07: i have just replied your e-mail, thank you so much for it :)

Not wrong also bro.....

hMMM it is pressurized air type .

Hydraulics need compressed air and mixture of oil to work.

the springs provide the counter impact to the vehicle etc.

prolonged absorbents of the impact causes the spring to wear and tear, then when the pressurized can and the mixture of oil technology comes in / hydraulics it heightened the performance...

Pressurized type

Single-tube (single-cylinder-system) type

Single-tube (single-cylinder-system) type:

Due to its superb responsiveness, this type is employed in high-performance motorcycles subjected to tough, sporty driving conditions.

When did you have your block/ piston / con rod check...

does the sound became louder when up rev your throttle?

If yes time to sent for service.....

my guess is either the con rod is loose/ wear off or your piston ring is scratching the block.... either one time for block service..:dot:

Hello :)

I think you misunderstood me - there is NO such sound :) Someone mentioned there is likely a clutch problem IF there is such sound, but no, there is NOT. My engine sounds just fine, NO rattling or other abnormal noise coming from it, neither when the clutch is pulled or not.

I had my block re-bored and got new piston pretty exactly 10.000 kilometers ago, i checked the conrod then and it was in like-new condition. Currently i am hunting down a clutch-related problem which i think has to do with the type of oil i am using, not the clutch itself (which has 17.000 kilometers on it).

But, as i said, NO noise coming from my engine that would suggest something lose or otherwise damaged. My engine runs and sounds like a factory-new one :)

Best regards......

Bro, check with you. Got any idea where can i re cushion my seats??? I use to cut it thin in JB and now i felt my seating posture is to low compare last time. Please advice, thank you.:thumb:

Hey bro, so far, all I've heard about is people cutting their seat. But I tried to re-cushion once, all I got was a stare and telling me to buy a new seating set.

I don't know where to re-cushion seats, and still baffles me.:giddy:

Hello again :)

@A-AN 07: sorry for being late to reply, was rotating like hell at work.... i haven't confirmed delivery yet because, well, i haven't received it yet :) It might come today (third day after you sent) or maybe tomorrow or Monday (don't know if parcel post comes on Sundays??) Last two parcels always took three days, so i guess evening today it'll be here :)

About the movie "Remp-It" i don't mind if it's Malay only and no subtitles - i just really want to see it, i sure don't understand Malay but i also watch Thai movies without understanding too much - it's entertainment nevertheless :)

@supervivid: Thank you very much for the hints - i knew about viscosity etc (i'm certified mechanic, xixixi) but my clutch has been replaced completely (entire set - housing, plates, discs, don't know what that's all called in English, the entire clutch 100%) about 17.000 Kilometers ago. Back then the old one was slipping and did not open fully, almost impossible to shift gears either way then. How long do they last in the RXZ when you ride mostly city traffic? In my Zuendapp's i usually had the same clutch over 50.000 kilometers without problems..... i don't think Yamaha "finish" that much earlier?

Kind regards....

your Thanh

Regarding your clutch problem, all I can say is, I'm sorry. I don't know much really. Let's see whether I can ask my mechanic what is the problem with your bike. I'll check with him on one of the week days this week.

By the way, I might need some information about your bike if you are willing to share it with me. You can just PM so it can be kept private.

Need to know some specifics about your bike:

Engine version: (eg. Y1, Y2)

Engine make: (eg: Made in Thailand, Japan)

Bike Model: (eg: RXZ, RXK, RD)

These should be sufficient for now.:thumb:

I am willing to help, but bear with me when I'm wrong.
