Yes you can. I changed mine to the R1 type foot rest. No comments on the feel, as long as can put leg and not look like apek, ok already.

Last time i check the price for Dunlop (Made in Japan) is $75/tyre...

By a shop called "Cycle World" behind ITE Tampines, also known as behind SAFRA Tamp...

 

And i can confirm wif you that 90/80 tyre for 17" Sports rims does exist...

As I'm using Battlex 90/80 & 80/90 on my 17" racing boy....

...Set up to attack corner like motogp rider but corner like Titanic...

got tips from mR_wHo regarding my petrol leaking from the fuel cap:

1stly u nid a white tape those used for piping type

2ndly u nid ur fuel cap

3rdly u nid u hands

4thly u nid time

lastly u nid ur brain:cheeky:

ok all u nid to do according to mR_wHo is just use the white tape to go 4 rounds around ur fuel cap.

the place to tape it is the bronze/gold color part just below the black washer.

bt being a kiasu bin kiasin i went more den 4 rounds.

i went round n round.

so far so good as of today.(i just did it yesterday)

must wait till d next time i fill up full tank den can update if it werks wonderfully.

Mine does that too, sometimes. It is when you shift up and the gear is not really "in", when you open the throttle the acceleration causes the gear to "jump back". I.e. when you shift from 2nd to 3rd and rev up, it goes back to 2nd by itself. Happens when you shift fast and light

 

And about the piston jam - sadly not a lot of symptoms before, but depending what causes it. If you are low on 2T (oil pump set too low) you may get a "warning" by losing some power - when the bike becomes hard to rev up or "does not really want to pull" but still runs. In such case touch the block, it will feel excessively hot. There can be scratches in block and piston, but the piston rings are still ok and the engine still runs (can keep driving, but set 2T higher or use pre-mix).

 

If the jam is caused by bearing failure (usually lower con rod bearing) it comes very suddenly - the bearing can fail without causeing jam, then you are lucky. The bearing cahge breaks at some stage due to lack of lubrication or overheating/overstress, and the parts, along with the needles, fall out and fly around in the crank case. They will come thru the side ports and, if you are VERY lucky, go thru the exhaust port and make no damage. All you will know is that your engine suddenly has a strange, loud and hard, knocking sound.

 

But in about 95% of such case, on the way thru the side ports, bearing parts/needles will end up jammed between block and piston - hence the name "piston jam". Again two possibilities - you are lucky and the piston "gives way" by destroying itself, in such case you will rather rapidly slow down and the engine will die, but no wheel-locking. In the second possibility the piston is solid and it will stop abruptly - thei leads to an "all stop" including the rear wheel, if you have no fingers on the clutch and can clutch out immediately you can crash badly, specially if it happens when cornering. This second scenario is worst because it can also cause further damage - the flywheel can, literally, fly away, damaging crank shaft, ignition/generator and engine case. Also the con rod can break and damage the engine case (and i've seen an 80cc engine where the con rod poked a hole thru the crank case when it broke!)

 

So always ride carefully, have one ear for the engine (strange sounds that suddenly appear almost always mean bad things) and two fingers always on the clutch lever, be prepared to clutch out at any moment any time. Use good 2T and have it turned up a little - that way your engines will thank you with long life.

they'll have to ether do some modification (bend) or change to a suitable rod that is connected to our drum break rite???

(Its the silver rod that is connected from the break pedal to the drum break)

R1 footrest? tell u the truth, the metal2 footrest will be very slippery when u ride it. dats why i use the standard but thin rxz footrest..i just add a bracket to make it stand higher..mcm racing ah hahaha..

Well i apologize cose i cant offer u a good shop to rebor cose previously i got chopped badly in SG...

(From my point of view...)

 

Charged me $200 to rebor, plus bad service (cant place gasket properly)

and i personally told the mech not to touch my carb,

but when i open my carb, he change my main jet and air jet..

Therefore dont wish to recommend u that mech...

Maybe the other riders could help u out...
