Ok.

Now he's obviously pissed at me just because i reminded him that i kept on asking these details for well over a month with no response, and that my current problem only exists because when i first needed only brake pads there was "no time" to look for them.

Great.

Trust in people and you'll get screwed over, again and again.

So A-AN, if nobody responses in the next 4 days (after nobody has for a month) i can go and throw my RXZ in the river, yes, just because you suddenly are no longer interested in filling the promises you made in e-mails? Have i not paid you well? Have i asked things for free, EVER??

I don't care for the 60 bucks, all i want is my freakin' brake, which i bought from you, to work again! Because it's slightly dangerous to run around on a daily basis, 400 kilometers per week, with only the front brake working - as i mentioned in private, doing so is now already killing my steering bearings, thanks god THOSE are available in Thailand! Great, at first it was simple brake pads which i relied on you as i can't get them here, for you having "no time" now i need a whole caliper and steering bearings.

Maybe i should just get overrun by a truck because i can't stop early enough, then all i need is an undertaker.

But i won't have to bother YOU with that... we have undertakers here, too.

Here's the pics of the ****ing thing again, the distance between the screw holes is 8.5 cm's. It's a FAKE "Brembo", NOT a genuine one!! I promise, too, that when i got it and ANYthing that i would need "from overseas" breaks again i throw the Bulldozer away and get myself a Honda Wave. Because i get spares on every street corner and don't need to rely on people overseas for my own safety!

Well, it's your choice to throw or burn it away. I agreed with you, promise is a promise but if work schedule suddenly getting choatic, what do you expect me to do??? Dump my work to proceed with you need??? To get this ****ing thing, you got to travel to Johore and involved yourself with the stupid jamm. Currently, i'm stuck to my night shift almost coming to 1 month without rest day!!

Can you imagine how tired am i when you people are sleeping at home, i'm ****ing awake for my work?? The shop that i purchased it only open late afternoon bout 1600hrs.

Let me just ask you this question -

1.) did i ever betray you after closing deal?

2.) How many times did i failed to deliver you any items?

3.) You deal the angel eye with someone, you paid me i close the deal for you and did i manage to deliver it to you?

I've dealed with you on - rear disc brake, no problem the item reached you.

I've dealed with you on - rear brake calliper, no problem the item reached you.

I've dealed with you on - the RXZ polo T, adjustable clutch/brake lever, clutch sleeve and Rem-pit vcd and posh bracket no problem all the items reached you.

I've dealed with you on - box rack, no problem the item reached you.

Come on lah, i believe this is the only failure that i did not manage to fulfill your urgent need. No matter what, the SGD 60 bucks will be return back to you accordingly. Fyi, i've already make it clear to you the "Brembo brake calliper" is not original but the reply i got from you is, you still want it.

Again i want to remind you, the choice is your and you can ride what ever bike you wish in Thailand. Nobody is forcing you. If you can get someone who is really able to acommodate your demand, i would say the person is really patient enough.

A-AN.....

I, too, work anywhere from 12-16 hours every week day, and often enough on weekends too. Yesterday i spend the whole day hunting down high-end computer parts, went to the office to build the machine and install the software, and bring it home. Today i delivered it to my boss private home and set it up with WiFi and all. I don't work in the night, but therefor VERY long hours, to make a small Thai salary.

You see, yesterday and today combined i had to drive 130 kilometers across the city with the worst traffic in the world (which is Bangkok, officially) with 25+ kilos baggage on the rear of my bike (and expensive "baggage" that is - such a computer cost more than i earn in three months!) and no working rear brake.

You see, i NEVER had a failure when dealing with you. Brake set, separate disc, angel eye via third person (who had no PayPal), brake and clutch levers, rack, forum t-shirt. Even a VCD. Which is why i thought i could, at any time, fall back on you when i need something really urgent. Like the brake PADS when i discovered that one is running down irregular and that i fear it would cause damage to the caliper. It was you who mentioned that it would not pose a problem, i could ask you "any time" for favours.

And it worked, every item that i WANTED, i got it. Flawlessly. But the first item i NEEDED - i failed to get. Those rake pads. Because you was disappeared for a while. No response to PM or mail. With the amount of kilometers i ride daily, damage came quick - the diagonally worn brake pad made the brake piston jam and now the caliper itself is trash. Yes of course i knew it's not a genuine Brembo - it wouldn't make a difference as those aren't available in Thailand either. So you were the only one i COULD ask for the pads. No, i can NOT ask a third person "please find me brake pads for the brake i got from A-AN".

Yet - no reply.

THAT is the problematic. Trying to somehow solve it myself, i asked for details of the shop respective the brake itself - question was ignored. A long time, in fact right until today. I KNOW you are awfully busy, but come on - too busy to write a 10-word reply to a question? One that's been asked 10 times?

Meantime i need the caliper as new brake pads no longer solve the problem - i had those specially made here which cost more than the new caliper already, yet - no success...... it doesn't work anymore, the left piston is stuck diagonally. No repair possible, caliper body is damaged.

Riding without rear brake forces me to use the front only, hard at times. Now i've got free play in the steering - bearings damaged already. I've got ball bearings, not cone, because cone is not available in Thailand!

And all this for a couple of stupid brake pads which maybe cost 10 SG Dollars, if that much at all.

And then you say "deadline 4 days" and "last time i deal overseas", suddenly. Closing the door on me. Easy to get rid of me, yes?

Ok you know what? Nobody will respond until Wednesday. The first part i really NEED i won't get. And once again i thought a person is a friend - but isn't.

What is it with this "mind barrier" with dealing overseas???? I am sure plenty of you go to that shop every day, or know others who do. I see "JB" mentioned in many many forum posts. Just because i'm not Malay or S'porean doesn't mean i'm the devil.

Over and out.

Our body function is working fine if we are working in the morning (unless you are sick). If you are awake in the night for 12 hours without a OFF day how do you explain that??? I'm a pure Singaporean who need at least a day OFF unlike the Malaysian, they need money to support their family so that is why they work without OFF day!!! I've been tolerating this joints pain with me for quite sometimes. And also, anyone would agree with me working night shift is SUCKS!!!! You body systems is not working fine when you are supposed to sleep at night but you are awake for long damm hours infront on this stupid PC doing work. That is why most of the times you notice i will make myself online in order to kill the boredom & sleepy eyeball.

Whatever you want before never fail is because the time require me to do so. Remember, this is just a favour and not a must. I'm not a businessman to deal in sales 24/7!!! Yes, i don't denied you are paying all the items but you must also remember that whatever you pay doesn't mean you will get it. For instance, I've already make it clear to you, your SGD 60 bucks WILL BE RETURN TO YOU IF I CAN'T SETTLE YOUR ITEM BY THIS 02/07/2008!!!!!

You can't expect me to view my PM or e-mails every single hour, i got better things to do unless my work require me to use PM or e-mails daily. I've been telling you that i can't confirm anything about this request cos i'm schedule tight. But alternatively, you can source out your way. How sarcastic you answer me by involving the President of United State. What he got to do with this dealing, be mature in aswering. That moment i felt PISSED OF WITH YOU!!!! I start to ignore your PM and e-mails from there.

I also already make it clear to you, i will wait if any of the forumer will step forward to help you, but none of them approched me about this issue and of course i got to wait. Again, you can force any of them to help you cos this is only a favour.

Enough is enough, you got the shop address details as required by you thru my PM. I've also make an open category in this forum so the forumers can step forward to help if they want to!!!! I leave it to you, source your own way, wait for any forumer before the dead line and bla bla bla.... You see, you have also post your need and none of them can accomodate you because i strongly believe that they are also busy with their life. So, what do you think i'm doing here??? I'm also busy my friend!!!!!

What you read in other forum "JB" doesn't mean they are going to the same location where i bought this stupid brake calliper. Generally, we don't know the person how can we ask them to get the calliper. Is you who got to communicate with them and ask them to liase with me.

We have already come to the end, let's wait till this dead line. Nothing appear i guess i shall return you SGD 60 bucks and just mind my own business.

I mentioned the US prez three days ago. You ignored my e-mails since a month. Please stick to the facts. In fact your very last e-mail to me asked for pictures of the caliper, which i sent less than an hour after receiving your mail. That was the last i heard from you, because then you went on your "two-weeks yearly vacation" (your words)!

Sad that asking for a FAVOUR makes you try to save your face by lying. You could have told me the first day "don't ask me ever again" instead of "no problem, any time, bro" and things would have been clear.

Keep the money, as long as it's stuck in PayPal i can't use it anyway (can't transfer back to my bank) and you are the only one i ever dealt with. E-Bayer's also never do biz with Thailand so i can't use it for anything. Better you use it.

I seem to live in a cursed country.

yo thanh,

Yes the brakes i got to find here is made in italy, thats the reason it is so so costly. well i would suggest that you either chand the rear brakes to the ones you got in thai, or may be use the front brake of any other bike to fix on your rear brakes after all that is wat you good at "improvising"

Please forgive An An cause his job has been so so bloody mad as he has only limited sleep and he has not being able log on to the forum and even check his emails... Even that the only time we all could contact him is during his night work!! what a life he had!! Sad for you bro!

the both of you have been doing well in and off the conversations and dealing on the stuffs you and him had promised..

Dont make this as a Huge Hatred point of you over the small matters.

JB is not so so convenient for us to visit and make and purchases for us anymore!! the bloody jam can take us almost 45 - 1 hr sia just to reach the border and that the beginning phase! haiyah!

I honestly believed that you are a genius and a creator well minor brake problem wont stop u wat bro.

Its either you have it modified or sell it off to the local mech there and get an original rxz brake calipers(example) and fix it to your rear.. you can do it bro!

One example is take me as an example, the other day i have a minor words/sentences fight with toofaz (on purpose hehehehhe) but at the end of the day we are still one big clan (family)

Look if you were to throw your bike over the river because on theses matters, i seriously will take this as personal as you have shown a disrespect to the RXZ bike as it is as consider as a rubbish that you can throw it away just like tat... I am a Z lover , My dad is still ridding one, my fore father used to have one and i am currently have it so it is consider a sentimental necessity and we the Clan boys need it as the Z is our pride and joy and it is the main reason that this thread is created!

Likewise, the bike will be how it is (condition and looks) and how it will operates only if you willing to DO it..

There is the saying, if you got a problem, face it not throw it away.

My solution for your brakes has already wrote earlier now its up to you whether you want to make it possible or not.

Reason so is if you were to get it locally, it will be easier for you to find the pad / e.t.c..

Majority of "us" will not hold on to the current bike and all have their DREAMS to upgrade to a bigger CCs, and thus at the end of the day only a handful will hold on to the bike.

So to speak, with that mentality they will eventually move on to another post such as the Super4s/RVFs/CBRs/ e.t.c and will only drop by to say hi and so on...

Everybody makes mistakes and sometimes it makes us desperate, dont make desperations loose your friendship and companion, instead look out for the problems together and rectify it together.

You have ALL of us to help and if they can help they will if you it is best for them to keep their fingers off the keyboard as dont wish to worsen the problems.

Well Thanh, this is my warm consoling words and sentences to you for you are our Thai's ambassador for the RXZ and perhaps the only active online buddy that we have!

Please use your creativeness and create something more and keep on living the RXZ spirit! AIDOUS!

Mr Who. Cheers! HAUS! FUUUUHHHHHHHHYOOOOOOH!! :cheer:

Hi :)

Thank you very much for that. Yes, i DO know he has been awfully busy for quite some time now, he told me that well in advance...... but it has been an awful long time since i first asked for the brake pads, and when he told me that at the time they were out of stock i said "please don't forget it later" and that was it.

Then it got much worse for me, and i tried to remind him.... only to be faced with complete zero response.

And then it was too late - damage done, new caliper needed.

Now the problem is - to get the disc brake working certain things had to be modified on my Z so i can not easily go back to drum brake (plus i would have to buy those parts again, too - pay twice to have the old stuff again??) and fixing a locally available caliper fails, too - as i have the adaptor plate matching THIS caliper and the actual disc itself, too - all these are items which are simply not available in Thailand! Remember, while you still enjoy brand new RXZ's (and therefor have lots of cheap parts and accessories available) , here in Thailand the last RXZ has been sold in 1996 - and for "such old bike" simply nothing at all is available.

The only alternative brake caliper i could put on without too many alterations would be that of a VRR, but i can NOT do that due to my additional shock absorbers - the second pair sits exactly where the VRR caliper anchor would be. It's mount point is welded - so i would need to buy a new swing arm. And guess if it is available?? Of course not, already asked. Plus i need those additional shock absorbers to prevent frame damage again - been there just recently, fixing the frame is MAJOR headache as i basically need to buy a whole RXZ to get the frame only. I did just that, unfortunately that one had been modified too and it's brake is custom, drum, yes, but what brake shoes go in THERE?? No idea. It's smaller than original RXZ.

For any other brake caliper (such as the one spare i have, from a Honda front brake) i would need to find a fitting adaptor plate - of course no such thing exists. Having one made? Maybe, but.... by whom? My mechanic is just that - a mechanic. They fix things, bolt on new parts, but don't produce such parts themselves. Prior to buying A-AN's brake set i asked about possibilities, but always got a blank stare, like "that guy is crazy, want to put a rear disc on a RXZ!" And new VRR parts are only available as genuine Yamaha - which cost an arm and a leg.

I can imagine going to JB is traffic and all, but then i offer a handsome reward - knowing the thing costs actually only 60 SG$ there i am willing to pay 120..... nobody who would do it for me would have to do it for free. I am not rich, but i know what i am asking for and i am willing to pay for it. I have always done so. So i am not asking for a friend's favour but for a straight business deal...... i need a part and i pay for it. Simple. 100% profit for whoever does it. But i NEED that thing.

By the way i phoned the numbers A-AN provided, it seems Ah-Boy and Guo Hui are the same company, as i had the same person on the phone - i asked an e-mail address to send pictures of the part i need, and the e-mail they gave me does not work ([email protected]), when i called back she asked me to SMS my mobile number so she'll send the correct e-mail back.

I sent her BOTH my mobile numbers.

Did i get any reply? Of course NOT!!

Only one time someone in SG asked ME to find a part for him. I also took a couple of hours to go to a number of shops to find it (gasket set for Suzuki RG 150), found it, bought it, told the guy the price. He was surprised it was so cheap (compared to SG) so he asked me to get some more of the same. Which i did. And sent it to him. No problem. He paid. No problem again. Doing business "overseas" can be the easiest thing in the world once that initial fear of "dealing with some stranger" is forgotten. My very first attempt ended in failure, too - nice e-mail communication, parts have been promised, i sent the money (in cash, by post), he confirmed that he received it - and then he disappeared. Stole the money. Plain and simple.

Did i give up? No, just changed way of payment - PayPal, worldwide recognised and accepted, any private person with a bank account can do it.

So please, ANYone...... 60 SG$ reward for a "local Brembo" caliper from Ah Boy, Johor Bahru. Straight business, no frills. I pay in advance - no need to be scared. All you need is PayPal and an hour's time to get there.

By the way i love my RXZ, too. But at some point you MUST ask yourself, riding a bike that has not been sold since 12 years - is it worth it? If you need to rely on people in another country for anything nice for that bike? if you find that, if it is really urgent, you can NOT rely on people in other countries??

It is easier to acquire parts for a 1972 Zundapp KS 125 than for a 1994 RXZ.... and Zundapp itself closed completely in 1984, while RXZ is still made and sold in the neighbour country. Sad, but true.

Best regards.....

Hi :)

I have one from a Sonic, i believe. Looks different from a Wave one.

However "get the metal plate" is impossible - there's no such thing available.

"Do a bracket for it" (i guess that's the same thing i call "adaptor plate"?) is impossible as well - as i have no welding machine and no raw material plus other tools required to "make" one. Neither does my mechanic. Otherwise i would have done that long time ago :)

Here, people and shops don't improvise - they use ready-made parts, and if such don't exist, they simply say "can not" and end of story. Which is why i need that exact caliper type.

@Synamitomo

I have just seen your previous post where you offer to go to JB and find me one.... please, i beg you, do it. My offer stands - i will pay 60 SG$ for your effort.

Best regards.....
