So how's everyone doin for the past week? Good I hope!!! So anythin I missed? I know I miss A'An's lil' gatherin. Sori I couldn't make it, I was busy..... ermmmm... servin the country! Hee... Wah my wife took over for awhile sia while I'm gone. How to find a wifey like tat?! SAYANGGGGG my wifey!!!!! Hee... Well u guys take care ait, and ride safe. It rained @ JB just now and the road is wet.... Did I say JB? Yep, ride out straight to JB wif my dear wifey & lil' sis just now just to get the feel of my bike again. DAMN it feels good after a week!!! Hee.... Aite then, TAKE CARE AIT!!!

Just wanna say hello.... long time never post, again never got notification of reply and searching the site for this thread takes looooong time during work coz internet here's so slow.......

 

My Z ("The Bulldozer") is still going strong, 78,500 kilometers now, piston ring rattlerattlerattlerattle but can go another 2,500 kilometers then get new piston Now also my swing arm a bit lose, and rear wheel bearing AGAIN (why they last only 4-5,000 kilometers every time????? Front wheel one last for ever! I see major work coming at that magic mark of 81,000 kilometers - piston, chain/sprockets, rear wheel bearing, steering bearing (cone don't have, just balls!), take apart cockpit and clean speedometer xixixi...... fork oil, engine oil again, i think this time also clutch plates, driver footrest again (always bend..... poor quality aftermarket stuff!) and i wanna new steering dampener also, those Ohlins one look nice

 

Oh and someone offered me VRR for scrap, 3,000 Baht.... i am waiting if they find the book, if got then i'll buy it and might swap the engine to the RXZ... i got 150cc with VRR piston already, but complete VRR engine is water cooled..... hmmmmm WC RXZ not bad....... but maybe also keep VRR for rempit bike, really don't know what to do. Anyone here got VRR..??

HEY!!! How do u know when ur rear wheel bearing needs a change? Do u simply turn the wheel around to see if it's spinnin freely or wat? Cause I never ever changed my rear wheel bearing before so I don't really know wat to look out for. Heh, I just changed my 7 clutch plates and clutch springs. Doesn't feel nice as the old one though. Don't know why. Maybe just need to get use to the stiffer spring I guess. Now my bike tend to heat up very fast and u can really feel the heat through the jeans.I think my bike is breakin down. I need to get ready a new blok and I guess hav to overhaul the whole bike sooner or later! Watch out for tis space!!!

Would luv to thank her for accompanyin me to JB the day before I serve my reservist. Went there to change my clutch plates and spring and top up as well while she to ask for quotation for her next project. Which she smsed me, she already did! Went in JB on her own after midnite! Daring gerl...

 

But somehow or rather, someone should at least followed her in to company her. It's a good thing she msged me, sayin tat she's back from JB safely. Even Panjang's wife reminded her to msg me once she reaches Singapore. She said tat Chin move off from Panjang's place ard 3am! If only I weren't stuck in the bloody camp!!!

 

But then again, I would hav been bullied by the tag team of Ah Moi & Chin!!! Haha..

 

Anyway, yeah. Me & Chin had an adventurous afternoon tryin to find scrapyard @ Tuas area. Turns out to be a warehouse importin scrap sheets of metals! Haha... Wrong info lah bro Pendek! But nevertheless, we hav fun wif abit of cornering here and there since the industrial road there is quite empty. She was like all the way down like Rossi, nearly scrapin her footrest!

Again, daring gerl...

 

After tat, had a wet, long trip to JB via 2nd link due to rainy day. Which she left me behind when we decided to exchange bikes.

 

So yeah, I had lots of fun riding ard, poking jokes and laughin ard wif her. Esp the bro & sis conversation we hav while waitin for my bike to get fixed. Which I really, REALLY hope tis would be the kind of relationships we're gonna hav over here for life ait? I'll pray for tat....

About the wheel bearing, like every week when i lube my chain i test them... and over (way too short!) time the rear wheel becomes lose, i can move it from side to side a little, and at the same time it becomes harder to spin. The mechanic says i got too much power for those small bearing with my modified engine, bu ti think that is BS excuse because they just don't have good quality bearings here in Thailand.... because i very rarely let the power out, most of the time i ride very gentle, seldom faster than 120, and usually shift gear up below 3,000 rpm. I ride mostly on torque only, below 5,000 rpm. That should not put stress on those stupid bearings but still - always break so fast. Ok they are very cheap but i rather pay more and have them last long! I think my front ones still original from the Yamaha factory in 1994 At least for me, never changed them. The rear one changed like 5-6 times already in two years, and now need to change again.

 

I often read here about people overhaulin' and reboring block every so often... why is that?? Mine Z just runs and runs and runs, i never have any problem with the engine. Even with bored up/ported 150cc kit, no problem. It's now 78,500 kilometers (plus an unknown amount more because there was no speedometer cable when i got this bike), still stock con rod in there. I myself have done 37,000 kilometers in two years (next week it'll be two years i have this RXZ) and no problem whatsoever with the engine. I replace parts that wear out, but conrod or block - no issue. I still have the stock block, i keep it for spare if some day this racing block fails, but i don't think it'll fail at all.

 

The secret is: OIL. Oil pump wide open, it sure consumes more 2T and smokes somewhat, but the engine runs always smooth and last much much longer.

 

I hope your bike will not develop a problem - listen to the engine, it will tell you what's wrong, you must learn to speak it's language. You can feel in your finger tips if some bearing is about to wear out, you can feel in your behind when there is something lose in the suspension or the axle/swing arm/fork, but most important, you must know how the engine "talks" and you will know when the con rod is about to go or if the piston is about to seize.

yeahh u got that right..im the guy..only that im riding red rxz..heh.still using the tyre u gave me,never skidded b4 or had any accidents(thank god).though my front tyre now show signs of crack marks..still in the early stage though.oh thanks again(if i didnt say it b4) for the tyre syam

 

im changing tyres soon(keeping the rear one).since michelin is no good,i thought of using pirelli,but is there any good 18" tyres out there?not keen in using 17".besides tt900/gp then i think ill just go for pirelli(at unique)if the flower is nice.

 

and where is the best place to shop for accessories??i wanna buy bubble and change the signal light(to small ones),and perhaps some other stuff to beautify my zeck.projecting my zeck very sooooon..heh.

Hmmm... Are u sure ur using the same Castrol eo tat u hav always been using? Do u top up ur eo too much (more than 600ml?)?

Hmmm... Thanx. Haven't had rear wheel bearin for quite a while then! My rear is still as stiff and smooth as the 1st time I got it! Thanx for the tip!!! Now I know wat to look out for!!!

 

Wohoho... Prob wif my block is, it is set for high rev. I hav to run at 6000 to make it run constantly at 100km/h! And wif my oversized 1.50 piston runnin fast in my already thinnin block slats, u can definitely bet tat the block won't last long before u either hav to change the piston ring or eats up the internal. PLUS..... U don't hav WRX to race wif over at Thailand due to the heavy traffic... Hehe...

 

Abt the oil thingy, my 2t pump screw is open nearly to the max. Not only tat! I put a nut in between to act as a spacer. So yeah, it's more than max for my 2t pump!

 

And regardin my bike, don't worry bout it. Riding it everyday helps me to know should there be any faults arising. I guess I already know 1st hand when it starts "complainin" to me...

 

And yeah, u ride safe too. Thanx for the tips once again!!!

Desaru? I'm always interested in goin overseas, but no kakis lah. If no kakis, no time also. But the road to Desaru is quite long and narrow u know? Plus all those heavy vehicles zooming by, it's gonna be quite dangerous tau!? I know cause I ever cycle to Desaru once. Scary sia, only 1 lane for each direction and those truck drivers are like soooo in a rush! Maybe we should try riding via 2nd link for a start first. Safer cause it's a wide open road. To the overhead bridge A&W restaurant there, don't know wat the name of the stop is called but it's the only stop wif an overhead bridge... Should be quite a distance to cover, might take us 5~6 hrs of non-stop riding to get there, excluding fuel stops.....

Yeah babe. Wonderin who taught her to do tat or where she get the idea from??? Hmmmm... U should follow us someday, if we plan it one day. Eventhough it's quite unplanned and last min, both bein blur wif street names, I'll say it's quite an adventure explorin new places, havin a bit of race wif each other and ultimately get to know each other better! Even if it's just the 2 of us!
