basically for those who really have no time to do up maintenance and don't have the heart to take good care of their RXZ.

ermmm, it's to "maximise" the "lifespan" of the products, dun be mistaken, it doesnt mean tat its for those who no time maintain or dun take care of their bikes, love ur bike doesnt need to spend unneccessary money:cool:

btw only 2t lub the piston, the EO dun:cool:

you will make sure you maintain it to the best that you can afford to give it.:thumb:

last time my rxz 1yr nv change EO also can perform tat gd:deal:

but of cos i got check spark plug also.

just tat the EO seems dirty when u look through the EO leve indicator:P

yes only 2t lube the piston. but what about the connecting rod assy, bearings, clutch assembly, kick start bush and shaft in your engine?? dont this be needed to lube by your EO. theres alot of wear and tear in the engine parts rather then the piston area cos the engine part has no way out to release its wear and tear unless we change our EO. for the piston area the wear and tear turns out to carbon on the piston head or the top block during combustion and then it will exit out to the pipe.

for my bike a month usage with only a 1000km of travel its already seems dirty from the EO indicator and when i drain it out its even more worst. i bet some of us here feel the differences when we just change our engine oil, much easier to shift gears feel way much lighter when we ride our bike and etc...

Hi.

Actually you are a little wrong there. In a two-stroke, the crank shaft, con rod, main bearings, piston bolt and both con rod bearings are lubricated by the 2T as well. As the 2T goes, along with the petrol, through the crank case (two strokes intake into the crank case) and from there via the ports into the combustion chamber, lubricating the piston and piston rings, too, in the process.

That is why it is so important to set the 2T pump in such a way that the engine ALWAYS gets enough 2T.

However as mentioned, the EO lubricates everything else in the engine, the gear mechanism, all other bearings, all cogs, all shafts and, most important;ly, the clutch. And it is the clutch that makes the EO go dirty and it is also the clutch that suffers when there is too little or too old EO in the engine.

And a clutch cost WAY more than changing EO a few more times.... every 3,000 kilometers is a good value.

Best regards.....

yeap, i only mention piston thou:sian:

its all about the mindset, when i pump ron92 i will imagine i pump ron 95, then it runs as gd as ron98 if u get wat i mean.

same wif EO, when i ride, i dun keep thinking tat EO is the cause of difficult gear shifting, cos i know the EO is still serving its purpose:angel:

there will be wear n tear but after multiple EO changes, how much contaminants will there be in the EO? u get wat i mean.

it depends on wat we talking about thou:)

Actually you are a little wrong there.

a very detailed explaination:)

the crankcase does not contain EO because it handles the fuel/air mixture and the mixture provides lubrication for the cylinder walls, crankshaft and connecting rod bearings.

Hi :)

Correctly it should be "the crankcase handles the fuel/air/2T mixture".... because the 2T is injected at the carb.

Since this mixture touches everything in the crankcase (also the left and right crank shaft bearings!) it is important that enough 2T is supplied.

And this is why the mentioned parts (piston, block liner, con rod, crank shaft etc) are oily even though no actual EO goes there. 2T is the "EO" for two strokes, the actual EO is here more-or-less a gearbox lubricant (same as in cars where gearboxes have additional oil, too). However cars have dry clutches while most motorbikes (the RXZ for sure) have clutches that run in EO.

This is also why motorbikes usually use "regular EO" such as 15W-40 for lubrication while cars use SAE 80 or 80W-90 transmission oil, as they have no clutch to lubricate.

AND that is the reason why cars need to change gearbox oil only after 50,000 kilometers or even "never" (some cars indeed don't require a change during life time, only topping up if it gets low).

Situations:

1) Two-Stroke:

Engine is lubricated by 2T. 2T uis burned along with fuel, hence has to be mixed with fuel. This is "waste lubrication". Gearbox has independent lubrication that needs to be changed at regular intervals because of clutch running in oil.

2) Four-Stroke motorbike (block engine):

Engine and gearbox are lubricated with the same oil. Oil filter absolutely required if clutch runs in oil (otherwise residue from clutch could damage engine). Not required if dry clutch. Oil has to be changed at regular intervals.

3) Four-Stroke car:

Engine and gearbox have separate lubrication/different type of oil. Engine oil has to be changed at regular intervals, gearbox oil may remain for life time or be changed after high mileage (50,000 kilometers as in my Isuzu). Clutch without lubrication ("dry clutch").

4) Four-Stroke motorbike (engine and gearbox separate, Harley, BSA etc):

Same as car. ALWAYS dry clutch.

Kind regards.....

Hi.

I would like to join that order.... however i will have the same problem as before with the stickers, having to rely on someone with PayPal, facing delays etc.

So i take the advice i was given by someone "don't go for this overseas sending thing" and pass on it.

So yeah...), just need to noe how much pieces of metal I must shave off... I think using standard is a bit too slow for me lah... Hehehe... Paiseh...

Hi to rxz owners. would like to ask a question regarding my rxz. Bought it nt long ago, its my 7th bike in 3yrs :) trying out all sorts of bikes. So my question is, for my rxz there seems to be like sumthing amised. when rev above 90 there will be like a metal cling sound but quite soft. i already changed a 2nd hand but still gd condition Y2 block n piston n also changed a new gear bearings (at the engine oil part there). finished running in already, so would like to ask if its common noise or sumthing? or even better any1 cn contact me n check it out if anything's wrng. went to my bikeshop, they say ok but would like to get other ppls point of view :) peace n thx.

Hey.

I posted a question there yesterday, namely if someone from "overseas" (me, and it's actually only land between us) can buy that shirt. MY QUESTION WAS DELETED INSTEAD OF ANSWERED.

Are you all a bunch of chickens? If i can not order that shirt SAY SO and don't silently delete the question.

Nice elite club you've got there. Why not bolt a sign above the door "Singaporean Zeckers ONLY".

I'm outta here.
