hi all. usually when i topup petrol, i can only topup till like 5-6 litres only and it'll fill up to the brim already. why is this and what can i do ?

Usually my full tank can last me from Mon to Sat(at least) so if urs cant...maybe ur tank modified before?

 

Another reason could be faulty fuel gauge...as mentioned by 1 bro above.

 

Ur bike got reserve or not?if have...then no worries...just use until need to open reserve...then relac relac go pump...should be more than 6 litres...

bros, need some help... when starting my rxz, the neutral light can be seen but after riding awhile at junction when i put at neutral, there's no neutral light at all, my signal oso gone and there is no horn. I need to rev up my engine then can see the light and my signals come out. The battery has been changed 5 days ago when something similar happened. what seems to be the prob? any bros can give this p-plater some advice?

Hi.

 

Bring the bike to a shop and have them check the rectifier (charging controller) and the coil inside the magneto.

 

This is a usual problem with the RXZ, in most cases the fault is with the coil. There is one coil that is responsible for both the light and the battery charging (35+25 watts output) and this is under dimensioned and burns out easily.

 

I had to change mine three times in three years.............

bros, tink theres something wrong wif the speedo meter. me 5th gear rpm 5 = 80km/h rpm 5.5= 85km/h rpm 6 = still below 90km/hr.. wats s the problem? cable juz changed to a new 1 as the old ones is faulty..

had the exact problem as U before.

 

new battery from JB...so I tot either the battery cannot make it or the rectifier(charging circuit) spoilt.

 

Solution:

Changed another battery in SG.Works till now.

 

so what I suggest U do is to take ur bike...or at least the battery...to a bike shop and get them to charge it...if their charging works(assume)...and ur battery cannot hold the charges...then U need a new battery...if not...get your rectifier looked at.

Bro forgive me for I am unsure for the price. Been riding RXZ for 6 years but for past 2 years I had change my bike.

 

Just a word of caution, IMHO, you could go JB to buy accessories. But I prefer to service my engine in Singapore workshop. Those who had ride long enough may understand why. Unless it is a mechanic u trust and known so long in JB then go ahead. I'm not saying all of them are rotten apples. Apologies if I offended anyone. It's just my personal preference.

guys need info reg in 1991 rxz is it a last production of japan made or a malaysia made rxz and how to find out weather is it a japan or malaysia made rxz

I can't recall the last production of Japan made since there was a period of time, there was an agreement made to allow Malaysia to build the RXZ.

 

If I'm correct Y1 and Y2 block is made in Japan while Y3 and Y4 is make in Malaysia. Even so, there are companies which make the block from Thailand/Malaysia and disputed say they are original Y1 block. So please beware.

 

Japan made model are solely 5 speed while Malaysia have the 5 and 6 speed version(due to the integration of agreement between Yamaha Japan and Asian Countries)

 

RXZ in South Eat Asia is based on RD 125 LC while RXZ in India is based on RXK development.

 

This is one website I used to refer last time. It's a Malaysian blog.

RXZ are king of the roads in Malaysia btw.

sure bro i'll let u know...btw the mech had changed the coil, rectifier and another new battery. It reaches 12V (donno if it's enuff). If problem persists, i will bring it back and he will check the wiring.
