I dun see why not.

There wont be any racing lah.

The capacity of the bike not a criterion mah.

I'm only riding a scooter.

More important is ur bike must be relatively good condition for the near 1,000km trip. If you need to service, do it at least one week before the trip.

Bro, you mean the trip over 1000 km? Wah challenging.

Anyway you riding scooter there? Wah respect.

I know there is no racing but i heard people tour at speeds of 150 km/h and above. Correct me if i am wrong.

One more issue is will the bike overheat?

Just chipping in.

I've stayed at the Lagenda Resort before.

Very nice place. Simple but spacious, especially the rooms.

But the best thing I remember about the place is the beach.

Clean*, nice & clear. Great place to have fun.

* = comes at a minor price. Cows & sometimes horses tends to pass by there and leave their signatures. So watch out.

Just a suggestion. If its too much of a hassle to book a room at such resorts, an easier way is to get a travel agent to help you do the booking.

I did that for few trips before. They help me book hotel & resort rooms. The price can be slightly cheaper (depending on agency you go to) as they have travel agent rates they get in dealing with such accomodations. It'll be even better if you book as a whole gro**.

Suria Cherating Resort. We snagged a total of 7 sea view terraces at RM168 each. Decent place.

malaysia east coast, right?

It's convenience for us to meet up together @ GP and we can out @ Kulai and cut through Hwy94 to Hwy3, that will avoid heavy traffic in JB.

nice... .u guys are going up by east coast junk road or go up to kl and use karak highway? tat will be fun... too bad i gotta work :(

The Hwy 3 trunk road is shorter than go Kl and turn to Karak hwy.

I think that most of the time will be on trunk road, our speed should be limited, that should not be any problem for small bike as long as the bike in good condition.

Above just mine 2 cents to share with all of you......:p

JB to Cherating should be around 350km. It will take you 6 to 7 hours, including stops if you're not experienced and in a big group.

I used to ride to Cherating many times in a year between 1993 to 1996. Nowadays, I don't stop at Cherating but would ride thru to Kuala Trengganu, about 600km from JB. I would leave Gelang Patah by 7am and would reach K Trengganu by 2.30pm.

I suggest you all meet up at GP Esso than meeting up in Woodlands or JB although that is nearer to the East Coast.

Use the Mersing-Pekan route instead of the Segamat or NSH-Karak route.

I mean, c'mon, we're all bikers here. You will enjoy Mersing route better. You can stop for breakfast at the Mersing jetty (to Tioman).

Try skipping the town of Kuantan and use another route to Cherating instead so you can skip the jam and the traffic lights in Kuantan.
