went to a mech and he reported that my fork is indeed leaking, and when it escalate to a state where the oil infects the calliper, my front brake will cease to work (he kinda sound educating while encouraging me to change on spot but of cuz i kindly rejected citing $$ issues) btw he quoted me 70 for my repair.

i was hoping for u it was not the fork then i cant really help u 70 bucks for repair kit done on the fork is quite cheap... cause repairing a fork is a messy job even i don't do it myself messy and troublesome

ahh yes so i got mixed up with u and leonhart. im better with names actually, so... care to put a name Beat and Leonhart?

for me, i top up my tank every 5(+/-1) days. journeys include home (jurong) to sch (clementi) to GF's workplace (NUH) and the occasional shopping for windows (window shopping) in orchard.

Haha. My name is really Beat. =P

Mm, you study at NP? (guessing cause clementi)

I see.. How much does petrol cost? Haha. I'm sorry, very greenhorn. =P

i am getting average 48km per lit on my CBR, kinda love it. Mid range to Long riding to sch. i pump $10-$11 after safra discount @ caltex [98] every 300-350km of mileage (usually around 3-6 days depending on trips)

I see. It sounds reasonable! I'm extremely new, not riding yet. Wondering, how much per litre?

I learned in BBDC.. They use Honda Megapro..

well, not really different, only the riding posture differs a bit..

Heavy or not, it depends on the people, but IMHO, it's about the same weight as Honda Megapro.. wkwkwkwkwk..

Aaha, I see. I take lessons at cdc, we use yamaha ybr!

I think same riding posture feel as honda mega pro.

I really like CBR 150, but I'm just worried I won't be able to handle the bike cause of change in riding posture / weight of bike etc.

But I'm not a terrible rider, just short, worried and paranoid. =P

Thanks collect tees. =)

Mm, guys I'm taking my TP in september. I really hope I pass at first attempt.

Am considering a 2nd hand CBR150 for my first bike!

Since I'm a short female rider: I used to have problems reaching the ground at CDC, they use YBR125, and fell a lot. Haha. Was wondering if CBR150'd suit me. Is the riding posture a lot of difference on a CBR150?

Also, what should I look for, check for and ask about when getting a 2nd hand CBR150?

I really like the bike, and I hope I'd be able to ride it as a new rider. But then again, since I'm inexperienced and short, I don't want to compromise my safety OTR.

Could you guys help me out? =P

i stay aljunied, macpherson there..anyone happen to stay nearby? if not its also ok :D

cuz i gt straight bus to aljunied mrt, serangoon, ang mo kio, toa payoh, payar lebar even harbourfront =p

According to the previous owner of my bike (he ever had YBR before), CBR has better stability in high speed..

*actually it doesn't answer your question.. wkwkw.. but it seems that he recommended CBR to YBR

Btw, maybe areal and whitefang can give advice to beat regarding "CBR150 for lady rider".. wkwkwk..

btw again, your wrote proper english.. hahaha.. cool.. let's support speak good english campaign.. wkwkwkwk

woohoo. ups for u. first choice already consider CBR150.

all i can say is, if u wanna get 2nd bike, buy it from someone whom u have trust in and known for a long time. if u want to get it from stranger/shop, make sure its spanking new (super low mileage).

oh btw, with that word, u have suddenly shaken this thread alive, im sure. :D

Brother ppl stay east u ask them go jb every week? LOL

Wha, haha. But I'm inexperience, so I don't know if I'd be able to handle.

Hmm, I found this deal at motor access. Uhm, anyone free on tuesday around 5.30 to go help me with the bike? Haha.

I don't know much about it, and I haven't got my lisence so I can't test drive it either. The uncle seems very eager to sell it to me! He's wiling to book and keep it for me till I pass TP if I do a deposit. =x

But I still havent really decided if I want it. I have a budget! Hahah. The machine price is $2500.

How about the upkeeping of the bike? Uhm, 4 strokes need to change the oil thing, what's it called? =x

Areal and whitefang should appear and advise me. Haha. =P

Yes good english!!! =D

Yepp Singaporean. My surname is Wee. Haha.

Eh SIM! I always go to NP Alumni club house to work out and sometimes I lunch at SIM. Haha.

Hmm, the petrol cost is quite reasonable is it?

Haha, it's been my dream to own a sports bike! But now that I'm nearing the goal, I'm a bit apprehensive cause of the financial aspect and whether or not I can ride it well. =/ Lots of people ask me to get a cub, but I don't really like cubs. =x

Why 'first choice already consider CBR'? Is there anything I must be careful about! Let me know!

Haha, Ethan drives and rides? Whaa.

ya, what's your surname?

Wee! =)
