Not after I stopped.. Coz the needle seems to go to the middle of the gauge very fast.. Hahah.. Or my coolant thing.?.

wel that is strange, for we had our 8 hour endurance race I even took of the fan and the bike was like running in its rev limiter the whole time but the temp never went more than a quater from its cold position,

so maybe you shoul flush you radiator. :goodluck: you know how 2 flush your cooling system

mine gets stuck at ard 1/4 when travelling even on expressways

when stuck at jams at customs maybe rise to ard 1/3 or 1/2

perhaps can heal HVAC's advice and flush coolant~

hello ppl, one extra tip from me, dunno it's it's useful to u guys but i'll just say it anyway.

watch your brake fluid screws, if it's rusted try to sand it off and paint it or better still change a new screw. rusty brown water that'll form as a result of rusty screws will flow down to your fork and corrode away your fork seal, it's something i've just discovered on blurger's bike when servicing the bike.

i guess a spoilt fork seal will allow foreign particles into your fork which might grind away the fork in the long run.

fork seals will cost about + - $20 bucks when u get it changed at a bike shop.

hm..i tink the situation is worse off if the brakefluid eventually flows down the front fork and gets onto the brake pads

according to mechanic frm Planet, that will render the pads totally useless. need to change new pair already.

jus had the front brake pump kit on my bike replaced for RM$28

turns out that brake fluid can also leak frm the front brake pump if the brake pump kit is worn out.

after spending like $300 on repairs so far on my bike, i guess i do knw a few stuff which i can share also

Fuses

our bike has got 3 fuses. 2 pcs of 10A fuses found at the compartment directly on the left of the battery + 1 pc of 20A fuse well hidden with the other connector found slightly to the front lower area where the other 2 fuses are. this oversight cost me $80 to find out.

Radiator

while chatting w/ the repairman doing the $80 repair job, i also found out that our bike actually has a radiator fan built in that is located directly behind the radiator. this fan kicks in when the temperature of the engine reaches a certain level. as a result, for those bros who find their bike heat up super easily, time for u to

- open up the radiator cap to physically check if there is sufficient coolant in the radiator. dont rely too much on the coolant level in the coolant reserve tank cause the tube linking the reserve tank to the radiator may well be clogged!

- if flushing the coolant doesnt work, let the bike run at idling speed for 5-10min. if the temperature gauge proceeds to climb beyond a level greater than half of the gauge, this suggest that the radiator fan might have spoilt. the mech told me that this fan is quite prone to breakdowns. lucky for me, my fan still works.

a list of parts i've changed so far:

1. cam chain tensioner

2. front brake disc

3. fuel c***/control mechanism found under the fuel tank

4. steering cone

5. front brake pump kit

following items pending:

6. rear wheel bearing + seal

happy riding guys and gers!

thought when hit pothole usually the front wheel take the most impact instead of the rear wheel?

gilerboy: the mech at Planet quoted me something like $60+ for the full set of fork seals also. i also agree on the part abt changing both fork seals together if they are rather old already. but i guess this is not as necessary for newer bikes~

haha.. yup.. makes me wonder too.. but that time during the impact, i remember feeling that it's the back part of the bike that took most of the impact. although i'm still wondering how come the front wheel did not feel any impact.. lol..

i changed it at Hua Chin in mid view building in Bukit Batok. It's near Vicom.. beside speedway..

The CBR150 is HEAPS better though they almost look identical. "
