hello guys, u all want information ah? no need lah, just take ur bike and go for it then u know liao. :cheeky:

ok lah, in a nutshell, distance travelled from GP Esso to GP Esso is 765km. from my place back to my place is 802km.

thing to note is that FC will drop on highway riding for small bikes, whereas on big bikes FC will be better than usual.

we pumped everytime we stop, a rough estimate for FC is about 29.47km\L. this is for GP Esso to GP Esso. highway riding speed was average 110-120. bike carries 2 pillion plus a fully loaded 42L top box. the poor FC i attribute to happy throttling, was trying to catch up with my convoy.

riding up Genting is interesting, i will say it's not really dangerous cuz the bike won't be able to go fast anyway, a few corners are quite tight but generally not too difficult.

Going down is the tricky part, engine braking plays an important element cuz the brakes are not powerful enough to stop u in time plus brakes will start burning if u brake hard.

On the whole, if u're travelling alone, CBR150R will have no problem ba. a bit harder work if u're with a pillion. do try it, it's an interesting experience. just make sure the bike's in good condition before u go, applies for any other bike.

wow our cbr150r on genting can make it though how the trip any thing to share about our bike

Btw, need advise from u guys..

I wanna change my tires, make away with the IRC tires lah but hor.. cun decide which tires to use..

Actually I've decided on BT39 one but saw Derrick's tires ytd.. I guess BT39 really wear out too fast..

So I'm actually keen on changing Michelin tires. My bikeshop once recommended me Michelin tires.

However, it seems like no one has ever try it out on small bikes yet..

Anybody got any idea of Michelin tireS??? At all???

wah, i was half-joking when i said that, butt sore lah. :faint:

to be honest, the vibrations u all claim to feel on ur hands when u ride, i didn't feel much of it during my Genting trip. it's rather ok actually, only thing is butt sore from sitting down too long, the seat not wide enough. :sian:

Tires:

TT900GP gd for distance, BT39 gd for cornering, TT900 not so lasting as TT900GP.

BT39 ppl usually put 90/80 front, 90/80 rear for pick up.

Using Pilot sporty now, front 90/80, rear 100/80, dry weather very gd, wet weather when lane splitting abit unstable.

Our CBR150 have 2 type of air cleaning element - air filter & air cleaner. They are located at different places. 1 is below the fuel tank & the other by the side of the bike seat, respectively.

Hi hi, can advise where the one located at the bike seat is?? Or does it apply to different version of cbr? I send down my bike to my bike shop trying to replace that, bt they say i only have filter under the fuel tank. Even print out the picture which ozzarhomb provided. (thanks for the pic) Please advise. Thanks thanks

Oh ok just check on my tires just now. Mine is 90/80 front. Rear 110/70. Rick_Vam, u just hold on for your reply. The Laojiaos will answer you. Hehe =)

Hey Pilot sporty is actually Thailand make right??

When u say wet weather lane splitting unstable, do u mean when u lane split itself, the tires are unstable? OR,

do u mean u go on the road markings causing it to be unstable??

Tires:

TT900GP gd for distance, BT39 gd for cornering, TT900 not so lasting as TT900GP.

BT39 ppl usually put 90/80 front, 90/80 rear for pick up.

hmm not really man. actually depends on the how u ride also. Usually my FC is roughly about 36-38km/l. Cos i usually ride on expressway 120/130kmh. Whats our original size for out stock btw?
