I'm using pilot sporty, just the way u want it..

Front 90/80 - 17 (Stock Size 80/90)

Rear 100/80 - 17 (Stock Size 100/80)

I changed it since 22nd Dec last year til now. costed me $150 front & back

1. its still lasting quite well. u know brand new tires, they got those "hairs" sticking out right? til now, they are still not totally gone.. still have those "hairs" on mine..

2. after chging to these pair.. i've never fish tail before so far.. *touch wood*

so i guess its considered good enough for me..

Hello guys,

Just got myself a CBR150 and I'm a newbie... I have a few questions about certain parts and where to get them:

1) foot pegs - comfortable aluminium type(silver is best), what brand and where can i get this?

2) Front clear visor? the part where your number plate is pasted?

Is there a bike shop that carries CBR150 parts, maybe I can just go there to buy the items I need.

My bike is in pretty good conditon but I would like to change a couple of things to make her a little nicer.

Thanks!!!

actually it generally relates to both cars & bikes..

just that car will have easily have a more than 50L tank so the diff at the end of the day u see will be huge..

but for our little CBR 10L tank.. not much u can save..

However, its not that little % that matters.. its ur riding style.. once u used to wasting that sort of petrol, in future, no matter what bike u chg or watever it is, u're gonna waste some petrol $ here and there..:giddy:

Interesting but does this relate to cars or bikes? I think its commonly know that cars work best around 90 km/h but not sure same goes for our bike? I guess the most important to see from this is that once u pass that point of good efficiency it is pretty much down hill fast as the speed increases...

on that note, what is the most efficient rpm to change gear? 4k? 5k? We can review top speeds but I think many burn most fuel when wacking the throttle and speeding up to that high speed...

Posted

same here.. other than right at the beginning when i took my bike, engine is new, i use the choke.. since then I've nv use it at all..

so far I never used the choke, seems not necessary especially in this climate where it doesn't really cool down a lot...

Anyone sprayed their rims before?

If you did, where did you spray and how much did you paid for it?

Did you wait a few days or you collected on the day itself?

Was the quality good?

Wandi.

JB motorshop. RM$50.

Done in 2-3 hours.

did he sprayed very long already or just sprayed only?

is it the yellow color rims that he has on his bike the last time i saw him ( i think around feb or so )

$50 ringgit, woah very cheap as compared to singapore $120 or so for 2 rims.

But what i read from forum is, they take out your tyre to spray but does not do balancing for you?

does anyone has a picture of his bike with rims? i forgot hahahaha

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

No picture I think but indeed, the yellow rims... in JB they just take out the wheel, not remove tire so thats why cheap and easy

woah which shop did you go to? how come your tyres are so expensive?

i tho it's around the range of $160 - $170?

what are you size for the tyres? stock sizes?

Stock is

Front 80/90-17

Rear 100/80-17

Or is yours?

Front 80/90-17

Rear 110/70-17

Im not quite sure about the size but I know that my rear tyre is bigger than stock. For the front, Im not quite sure, feel bigger but look the same as stock. Hahaha...

Guys, ride safely. Road is not for playing.

quite impossible to do a good spraying w/o removing the tyres.

i feel that the difference doesnt lie in whether they remove the wheels or tyres or not, but rather it depends on the type of paint used.

my sense is that the default paint used for rims will be spray can type, unless u request for good quality paint (machiam those they use for bodywork).

I've seen a couple of CBR150s with nice bright white lights, where can I get this bulb?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a battery charger/conditioner?

Many Thanks

you can always buy the paint here in SG first, one can is needed. head to Home Fix DIY, check out the Nippon Pylox color chart, and see if you can find your wanted color. per can $5.50. if you want more color options, can go to Tamiya distributor Stargek, they have a wider choice for colors, but the cans are smaller, so you'll probably spend 2 to 3 times more on the paint.

i still need to get my exhaust sprayed, so i can go in with you.

i feel that low RPM change should go hand in hand with throttle opening.

Scenario 1: throttle opened 50%, RPM change 4K.

Scenario 2: throttle opened 20%, RPM change 4K.

i would think that scenario 2 would take longer to get up to speed, but be more fuel efficient as overall the throttle is kept on conservative.

reiterates my point of hard acceleration and breaking is an inefficient way of driving, both bike and cars. and so goes people slapping themselves and asking why it hurts when they zip from one red light to another.

oh, my last 3 FC calculations are: 50Km/L, 46Km/L and 48Km/L.

wow. thats a good FC u have on your bike man. never ever i hit 41 and above. the max i had is only 40km/L.
