No mate itis not a screw - itis material ( Silicone rubber or metal ) for packing a piston or placing around a joint to make it watertight.

I didnot smell it on purpose. When I warming up my bike in the morning, my pillion, unpurposely, smell it as she is standing behind my bike. I used to pump Shell but when I started pumping Esso, my pillion notice the smelly exhaust. So.....

 

and i'm a happy person.! cause coolant working well..hehe!

 

gasket think is the rubber/carbon fibre/ silicon thingy that they put in between 2 blocks of metal enclosure thingy which has our piston inside..rightt..? hee.! i duno what's the main purpose of that thingy though..just knew its to keep things inside watertight..=) thanks to uncle lim!

hey guys. wads the top speed that u all can go up to? i notice that some of you can go up to 150-160 km/h but my FY plate cbr150 top speed is only 140km/h starting from 10k rpm. is it sth to do with the cdi?

having top speed at 140km/hr is alright.. dun worry

hmmm 140 is not ur top speed my 11 year old nsr can hit 180 its how you drag your gears to open the valve for my case but yours im not too sure. one thing i can be sure is to reach 180 from 140 you should be in gear 4-5 rpm 10k and above also the starting part also effects the speed behind too, but please don't speed i just taste the road out side LTA due to conner at speed 120km lucky i break fall else i won't be here le:cheeky:

Talking about TS, WhiteFang, I met ah pek CBR rider CCK here. He told me that he cant go faster than 80 or 90 kph (forgot alrdy). When I asked him to go overhaul he told me, he just overhauled his bike , but that didnt solve the problem. Could it be the same problem with ur bike?

 

Guys, u know what I found on this ah pek CBR? I saw a fan, usually used for desktop CPU, installed in his bike. What do you think guys?

It's really not about the CDI is it? Really? Coz I noticed that my FW plate CBR is faster on the 5th than on the 6th gear. Is that a factor? And I cannot seem to touch REDLINE as easily as I can on my brother's RXZ or my friend's SP150. I seem to stagnate at the 10K line. It's kinda worrisome and I am hoping if anyone has solved that problem do let me know.

 

I am probably going to change chamber packing on my next pay. But does anyone know if there is any aftermarket (legal) exhaust for the CBR?

 

Coz I know that there's Endurance for the CBR.. but it's not legal, coz it's too loud, I think...

 

I am pretty positive that I will keep my bike, my first bike and hence my first love for a while, so i do want to maintain and power him up a little bit.. hehehe

i have tried EVERY single CBR125 exhaust manufacturer. the problem is the homologation cert.

 

the Thai made pirated exhausts also don't have proper certification, and there isn't any facility in Singapore which does exhaust testing.

 

i have exhausted (pun intended) all avenues, so please don't bother!

yea.. it should be get faster when u're on 5th gear..

as explained by uncle lim to us before.. if u wanna go faster, go redline when u're on 5th gear, that should be an extra boost.. becos 6th gear is actually for cruising, meant to be more fuel efficient..
