the problem has gotten so bad that it is getting a bit hard to start the bike even.

 

and when its finally started, the voltmeter starts beeping cos it displays 7.4... after a few beeps, it will go up to 11.1 or 11.3 at most. when riding, it doesnt even go over 12.2 anymore.

 

i hope i can see the problem (looking behind the plate with holes) tmr before i go to sch. I've got a crazy day which includes sch at queenstown, then tuition at pasir ris, and sch again at queenstown aft. its my exam period now and i really cant afford any hiccups. =(

 

bad enough that i'm chionging erp without my IU everyday already, until there's an available IU for change at the mech. Now waiting for dunno whow many letters from LTA to come in.

 

when u switch off the headlights, does the rear brakelights come on?

if yes, then the rear brakelight issue is definitely contributing to the low voltage problem.

 

may not be the sole contributor though. try and see if the rear brakelight issue can be fixed 1st then continue to monitor the voltage to ensure there are no other 'contributors'.

 

u mean u have been chionging active gantries w/o an ERP unit?

may land yrself w/ some complications with the authorities u know.

while waiting for the shop to replace yr ERP unit, is spoilt ERP unit still connected on yr bike?

anyway, speaking of tail lights, mine are on on 'high' mode all the time now. Means that there is no difference in brightness whether i brake or not.

 

i wonder what went wrong again. I do notice the voltmeter showing some very low numbers though. At idle, is abt 11.9, and when moving, 12.something is what i usually get. something has to be tapping on it more than it should, and i guess this is it.

 

Same problem as mine isit? Rmbr, the time we fix our horn in Zed's motodiam.

 

As for the voltmeter reading, should you go to Uncle Lim shop to recondition or recharging?

mostly your rear signal light blow leow - original is a T15 but a T10 will fit as well so have it changed & all should be well ..................

ok i've gone to the shop to get loosened toggle fixed. All's fine and dandy now. So all i've gotta do now is ride around to get the batt nicely charged again, which i can only do when time permits. but it has been climbing. I've been seeing the number 13.something so i'm pleased with it.

 

the only problem left at the moment is the IU. yes, i've been going through the gantries every single day, without it getting charged.

 

reason: IU is as dead as a fish at the market.

 

details: still on the bike, still connected to battery, still put cashcard inside it. if by next week still no stock, then i will go down to Vicom and plead innocence.

 

to all going on monday: I'm coming. I've got no paper on Tues. I'll just make it up in my own time.

I've blown mine within 4 mths. Twice.
