high temp parts are not recommended for powdercoating.. nickel plating is more suitable.

 

anodized parts would be metallic colour with a matt/gloss finishing.

then why would people be poweder coating frames? BTW saw it on discovery channel on bike build off!!!

nickel plating is electrically coating a thin layer of metal onto the material.

 

nickel is not chromium.

i can't remember where i hear it from, but chroming on certain parts are not allowed.. i can't remember whether it's from the bikeshop or wad.. can't recall offhand..

 

but usually i would send it for nickel plating.

chroming for whole bike I think can la...saw a vespa side panels chromed...look so cadilac...BTW I pm voodoo doll but he didnt reply....

sorry for the long wait. to powder a rim will cost 80 to 95. i prefer blackening as it more better looking. pretty Cool..

price range is around 80-100.. depending on what exhaust..

Hi for the powder coating care to share where to have it done? it might be better if we can ride it down then have to quote on the spot rather then have to strip down then send it over to quotation?

yes it can be. but not the whole fork. i use to spray my lower fork till before the oil seal.
