Hi, I ordered my GSA abt a month ago...waiting for it to arrive this month..cant wait! Dream abt it every night! Hah! Anyway where do u guys service yr GS? Heard the servicing at PML cost a bomb..

 

Assuming your GSA is from PML and u want to maintain the 2 years warranty your bike need to be serviced by PML.

1st 1K servicing is FOC.

10K servicing package cost $249.45 include labour, consumable & GST.

20K servicing package should be ard $500

Physical visual check for security, wear/tear.

Consumables are 4 litres of Castrol Racing 1 10W-50W, oil filter, filter O ring n drain plug gasket.

Grease and lubricate as required.

Download bike diagnostic and upload new software if any are available.

Wash bike

 

They have a check list to follow but your bill will only show cost for labour. consumables n GST

The even K servicing are more comprehensive and will cost more(ard $500+) as more consumables are also used.

At which intervals does the service icon lights up ? Mine lights up upon reaching 900 for the 1st time . When or at wht mil is the recommended 2nd servicing due ? Mine is from PI . E shops says next servicing shd be ard 2.2k . Pls enlighten me on this bros . Very new to this bike .

Current mil : 2105 .

my only complain on the GSA for now is the damn horn button.

 

lag time about 1sec after you hit it unlike the jap counterparts where it's instantaneous.. and you have to tap it hard to make it HORN..

 

anybody else share my same sentiments?

Just collected my GSA last week but did not ride it until today. I used to own the R1100RT model about 14 years back, re-pick up riding again. Great bike indeed for the new GS. The sale guy (Paul) was kind enough to set my bike in Rain mode knowing that I had not been riding for so long time. Even I am 1.78m in height, I can hardly push the GS down from it's main stand while sitting on it! Everything on my GSA works fine no complain on the horn, the only thing i found is the horn switch is a bit difficult to reach with the rotating switch between the grip and the horn button.

Any one good for a meet up?

highly doubt so as the circuit is on the switch itself, nothing to do with the horn.
