the 1st service should be at 1000km, 2nd servicing at 2000km...

i dun intend to do at 2000km...

for the first 800km, you should maintain below 3000rpm, and the next 800km below 6000rpm(kind of impossible, too fast for sg)

below 3000rpm ah. i was advised to not to rev above 4000rpm by the mechanics at excel motor.

i should be doing my first service at 800km. because i gona at least do one service before i go touring on 22-24 august.

if can hit 1000km before that, that would be ideal ba. ^_^

1st gear 6000rpms = 70km/h. I run in my bike mostly in Malaysia, went for Sepang trackday at around 2000+kms.

Neo, how can i find out about the track day at Sepang, any website, how much does it cost?

Did you run your bike at max speed?

If you ride a GTR or ZZR 1400 we want to hear from you at www.kawa1400.blogspot.com

up to individual... whatever stated in manual is just a guide...

at 6th gear, 3k rpm - 110km/h

4k rpm - 140km/h

5k rpm - 170km/h

so at 6k rpm, you'll touch 200km/h!!! how to follow the manual???

:D

The Sepang Website is not very helpful. Try the track section of SBF for regular updates. its RM$100 for a 3 hour session, but split into afew classes.

And no, I did not run my bike at max speed, or even max throttle. In fact, I don't think I've ever went past 50% throttle even on the track. When running in, I didn't rev past 8000rpms, but usually keep it below 6000rpms.

My bike only stopped burning oil at around 15,000kms, thats when I considered it fully run in. I switched to fully synthetic oils at 5000kms btw.

Sorry. Typo error. I mean race shield for the bike. I am going to do it next week! The entire bike plus both side boxes!

dude myself and 2 other frens just race shielded our bikes.

if u want a good recommendation on where to go Pm me ok?

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

bro, did you adjust yourself? or the mechanics do for you? you adjust according to both you and your gf weight?

i also learning to reverse the bike. my brother taught me to shift my butt to the left and reverse with the left leg only. the right leg will be dangling in the air though. His method works most of the time.

DIY lah... its the knob on the letf side of your bike... turn it anti-clockwise until you are comfortable with the setting...

This week was damn hot and i did one hour within the CBD at snail pace in the traffic but the fan handled perfectly i have never seen the temp more than 3 bars and as soon as i pick up speed on clear path it goes back to 2 bars, it is a bit hot at thighs level though but what else can you expect with such a big engine between your legs!

Can the rider seat be raised? I tried with my STX and somehow it works like a charm.

nope... cant be raised or lowered...

can only soften or harden the pre-load...

ONZ ah!!!!!!!!!! my hp nuber is 98329600!!!

Kaozie and frenchbiker, can i ask u ah. i was reading the manual, it says the tire pressure only appear only when the pressure is below 39 psi. that means if its more than 39, it would not show anything on the digital screen correct?

right now the indictor have not shown any indication for my rear tire yet.
