Have you check the price locally? It may be cheaper to buy locally then overseas....

I dont know whether its a price increase by Ohlins or HKL just shoot the price up.. by the way you bought yours together with the front fork springs??

mine was 1850 OTR. Front fork springs and rear shock ah. From sporting motor. Ur 2300 is OTR with front and rear too?

Yes.. that was what quoted to me..i just find them too ex...and i have bought by Ohilns for my Busa and FJR previously from this site..and its much cheaper...overall for the Concours after the currency conversion and shipping it will only cost me abt $1600(SGD) + $150(Installation) i think its rather cheap getting them overseas rather than SG. This guy that i been buying the shocks from, is meticulous he would require the weight / height of my self and pillion, he would also want to know the usage ie: commutting/sports touring and would set them up accorningly. So far in my dealing with him is all good.

Nice! i shall go check out the hypermotard ohlins too! Can give me the link?? Ya, i agree ohlins in singapore is overpriced. Even though they ordered in bulk from overseas, we still have to bear the high shipping cost. I am looking into ebay for 2nd hand under used ohlins too. In US, the riders are very hardcore. If the bike is totaled, they literally dismantled the bike into pieces and sell it off ebay and online!

Actually there is no need to change stock front and rear suspension system. The stocks are good enough. Connie grandmaster andy loo and aurium still using it. I did 24k on it before deciding to change. Not because stock aint good. Mainly because i backside itchy and wanna try ohlins. Especially on a 1400cc bike. Also i have also heard how good ohlins are from other riders. I guess its time for me to experience it first hand! I cant say for other bike makes and shock brands. For concours, on stock setup, the 300kg bike starts to feel floating at 240km/h onwards. Front of the bike feels very very light! It doesnt feel planted on the ground at all. 300km/h is impossible to do. During cornering 130km/h, bike steering is not tight and shakes. It should not feel this light since front tires wear out way faster than the rear. On the connie, two front tires change equal to one rear change.

There are so much improvement on ohlins. Not only it reduces the bike height and allowing both my feets to full flat on the ground. I can touch 280km/h with confidence. Can up the speed somemore but i aint got the balls to do so. Its 35k bike ma! Zero floating feeling. The bike sticks on the ground like superglue. There is no zeee zzzz zeee zzzz zeee feeling during high and low speed cornering.

For me - ZERO REGRETS. Should opportunities arise and my pocket allows, I will do again on my next bike.

No problemo bro. Enjoy your ride! Connie is an excellent tourer! Performance wise, it does not lose out to sports bike too. ^_^
