I've read from the service manual and it does says that it is require to change to whole unit when the batt is low. I've also seen the pics from the link you've provided and I also feel it is possible just by soldering it back with new batt. But on the other side, it is also possible that this process may cause some "side effects" to the sensor as it is solely depending on the high sensitive IC chip to detect several things like motion, temperature and perhaps other stuffs, perhaps that's the reason why it is not advisable to access directly to the batt due to static or whatsoever in the electronics terms? Just from my own point of view, maybe the tires team really sux... haha... :D:D:D

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

i am not really sure of how the dismetelling wil affect the accuracy of the sensor..

but having a design tt dont allow battery change..

might as well change the whole rim when batt low??

or just change the whole bike...

Relax bro, just my point of view only... I am looking at different possibilities in this case, might not be accurate also. Consider it as a minus 1 point for having this bike lo... :D

Dude, its a simple installation. Firstly you need four bolts/nuts and washers (forgot the bolts nuts and washer sizes, i think is M10), thereafter remove the rack. Once you have remove the rack, you align it with the Pelican box and mark accordingly with a marker (four diffrent places), to where you want to box to be mounted. Subsequently, you will need to drill four small holes, once this is done you can then put in the blots/spring washers and nuts, tighten them and you are done. Should you need help i can assist you with it, just give me a buzz at (9116 6865). Perhaps should orgy a DIY session where we all can meet. By the way you can buy the pelican box from the belowmentioned, they are the sole distributor here in Singapore, you may pruchase them according to your preference (sizes)

That's interesting! How much does a box costs btw? I'm thinking of having one too... :D

THe price depands on the sizes and ranges from 150-250, thats befitting our racks. FYI-i m using the 1300 series, as this sits on the rack nicely with protruding out. Cheers
