when installed on GTR, will it raise the height of the bike? i don not want a situation where i have to tip toe on my bike again

For the stock ohlins shock it does raised the rear slightly. Thus when you ride you feel that the rear is higher then the front.

You can also order the lower version. Try checking with Sporting....

The dealer is evershine. Bikes can be bought at most big bike shops...

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

Thanks for the info. The only shop i know is Mah and Loois. Any recommendations? Was quoted at 27500 OTR without insurance so was wondering whats the insurance for a 27 yr old like. So i can have a better idea how much the bike will cost in total. Comparing price will be better too.

Hope you guys will be so kind to help. I was wondering on who is the Authorised Dealer for the Kawasaki bikes in singapore? Eg. Hong Leong = Yamaha, Guan Hoe = Suzuki.

- Kawasaki = Evershine (They only sell bikes. You need spares got to order in advance and cash term. Parts will arrive btween 2 weeks - 1 month)

Another alternative order from internet or just ride over to Malaysia and buy from them.

Hope to know more abt the bike before i decide. Where do you guys buy your Kawasaki bkes from if u dun mind me asking??

- I will zoom straight to Loois motor as the price they give is one price, no hidden cost involve. Forget about going to Mah they don't sell Kawasaki bikes they export the bikes out. (Cos I went to them and this was what they told me)

ehhh....FJR and Busa killer? yum yum, we would appreciate that you would drop that term and never used it again ah. Its does not sound very nice in Singapore bike forum. GTR 1400 community rides with passion and we make friends with fellow bikers on road. Despite the 1.4cc engine between our legs, we are tame beast la.

To answer your questions, i follow strictly to the manual as i have plans to keep this bike very long

Change the oil frequently, warm up gently and thoroughly before revving hard.

The engine has been full throttle revved up to redline in every single gear at the factory, so there is no way any sane person is going to achieve that level of 'hard' run-in.

Then I am half insane, as i have revved it to red line in 1st and 2nd gear, all the way to power drop!! Not during running though. :cheeky:

Need some help here guys. Today after about an hr of speed riding in NSHW, while riding at lower speeds at gears 1 2 n 3, the FI lighted up with the FI error message flashing on the display. It was on for a min or so then it went off. I stopped the bike, switched it on and off then started riding again. It came on again for a min and went off. I reached my destination soon after. I did not experience any other technical problems with the bike. It was running fine. I did the self diagnosis by following the service manual since the FI light came on. However when I pressed and held the mode and reset button, it did not show the error code, it just went to the main menu where you can adjust the clock n all. So I am wondering whats wrong. The bike has only done 5500km so far. Only mods on the bike is an additional fan wired pararell to the original fan and a pair of KR tuned slip ons. :help:

I would definitely stay away from a dealer who does this kind of practice, 3 guys 3 quotes is ridiculous. Just not honest. Must do the same for servicing.

At least at Loois, even if COE goes up, price quoted is firm.
