That one enough to burn a hole in my wallet le. The problem happened during my warranty period too. It was at 3000 only. HE SAID BIKE NOT BOUGHT FROM THEM HENCE NO WARRANTY. CRAP

Now the wind shield cannot move up and down liao. Other Gtrs also had this problem. For myself, it works occasionally yet rarely. After which it will die on me after the bike went through a day of rain. Frenchbiker one die permanently.

what the....???

so the story is dat u guys bought from nevershine n the windshield went kaput outside the warranty period, so now left w/o a solution?? :dozed:

No bro, we did not buy from nevershine. Thats where the problem comes in. Nevershine *****ing on me(us) because my bike not bought from them.

They say my first service was not done at their shop hence the warranty is so called void. He claimed servicing must be done the official agent shop to have that warranty. CRAP, isnt it?

Actually Frenchbiker and myself plan to gather those GTR with windshield problem together and head down to Nevershine. See what he says ah.

The taji comes in. My bike shop said i have to go to Nevershine since they are the agent. When i told my motordiam, the boss was also shocked with nevershine replies. He tried to reason with nevershine but to no avail. Haizzzz..luckily my problem no very serious. Anyway now the bike is cool and great. Rides once a week. ^_^

I think in Sg. I think only Loois motor good terms with Nevershine. If you buy the bike from Loois, no worries. Their mechanics trained in Kawa bikes too.

typical.

before u buy u will hear the usual,"its a Jap bike, problem free."

or "No problem, just come back to us and we'll fix it".

ok, will see how it goes.

If not u guys might have to count me in for the windshield up/down issue.

Mechanics wise, frenchbiker and myself have found a very good one in Sg. He is a kawa rider himself too. He can feel for riders. ^_^

Where did you buy the bike from?

1. Excel motor

2. Loois motor

3. Speedway motor

Why did you decide to get GTR 1400? What was your last ride?

Option 2 :)

actually, since march '08, Ive been looking for a gtr but the constantly long waits and no shows till june so i decided to go with the triumph tiger as they had stock.

i still have the bike btw. and its for sale.

its a great all rounder. tank range can be a decent 355km for 20L.

the gtr was the choice as im after zzr14 like performance with long distance comfort.

looking for comfortable 220km/h cruising speed n once in a while burst to 280?

its been a long wait, but finally im here today.

Wa! Triumph tiger! Hoot. the 1050? How much are you selling?? Pm me the details, please. My friend is looking for a second hand road bike.

Good for you! You bought from Loois motor. ^_^ Take note of the side panniers latch, k. I understand the later model seems to have the latch problem that detached the panniers automatically due to vibration etc

Hoot...280....i have not burst to there yet. I no balls la....Max i went was 260km/h. Scared to pull the throttle some more. But 200km-230km/h is a breeze.

Lastly no thoughts of keeping the tiger? GTR not meant for Sg road and car park. Recommended to have second bike

Hoot Hoot! ok, I will send u the details later.

Pls also PM me the Kawa God/mechanic details pls, thanks! :)

from what i read, the orange stickers on the panniers were the ones that did the auto ejects and later they changed the latches n the stickers are not red?

or is it vice versa?

Hmmm 2nd bike?

i didnt think abt it yet, as most of my riding, maybe abt 85% are spent on the expressways with minimal traffic.

will see how the gtr goes, if not maybe trade the tiger in for a wave or x-1?

Thanks! Please do it quick, k. Because he is going to Mr lee shop to look at TDM 900 on this thursday

Bro, i no understand about the orange stickers and red stickers ah. Mr lee said that the stock latches use plastics. Hence the grip was not strong. He said we could buy the metal latches instead. As for mine, so far so good. I went thru several port hole on T156 and Gua Musang, pannniers still sit on nicely. ^_^ Mine is 08 model ah

GTR has big heat issue. Until kawa find ways to manage the 1400cc engine between our legs, not recommended to do city riding or peak hours riding.

Thats why i ended up with a wave to zip around sg. ^_^

looking good!

but my understand was that HID usually means the whole headlight housing is charged with a certain gas but the one in the link is just a bulb replacement itself?

looks like a long list of mods to come.......haha......

This one is HID conversion kits. Its not those that charged the entire housing. Cant imagine the cost for that. Its bulb itself. ^_^

It comes with ballast and the effect is good. If you can come on next Friday, you can see its effect on NS highway. ^_^

indeed alot of mod ah. Do the important one first. It took me 1 year to do some modding and such. My last project is Ohlin....that one have to wait a while. At least must fully utilise the current fork and rear shock. ^_^

ohlins TTX36 front n rear?!?!

one of the first things im looking for is a radiator cover, i noticed the fits on most of the gtrs are quite brittle.

guess i will have to start reading from page 1 once more......

So far Leo vince and Remus. I have not been following up with exhaust news ever since i changed much. In terms of the pipe weight and bike performance, there is an noticeable difference ah.

Stock pipe damn super heavy.....almost drop it when i first held it in my hands

I know people who does race shield and leo vince pipe. Let me know if you wanna do.

Its okie to visit these sites ah. Because these accessories helped to make our ride safer. ^_^
