yesterday's SAVA SPRINT 2007 @ Seletar Reservoir was AWESOME!!

damnnit i received a call from a fren in cambodia. all bodies have been found. reuben was 50m down stream. chee n jeremy were at the finishing point.

 

our nation has lost 5 young n talented lads.

 

Reu was multi talented, good in everythin he did. During his reign as captain he took over a squad with no or little experience. Trained the 10 of us till pullup averaged 35. Won the silver in the 06 regetta 10 men. He and Jeremy were exemplary captains, always giving us powerpack speeches when we were down. Chee as vice capt always led by example. de ja vu man. 2006 april during sava 10km race, a few seconds after the whistle blew(merdeka bridge) the 2 boats beside us banged us and 1 went over our front hull while the other went over the rear, causing our boat to totally submerge. luckily we were wearing lifevests n we had to thread in the water for a good 20 min. lucky cos i knew 1 guy cudnt swim. every1 didnt want to continue the race, but jeremy climbed back on with a pail n somehow managed to scope out all the water. we then finished the 10km n came in 2nd last.

haiz..... i cant do dragonboat for now...

 

got into an accident.. collar bone fracture.. need at least 1-2 years for complete heal. for now.. dragonboating has to stop... sianz.....

oh ya... btw.. today marks 1 year annivesary of our National Rowers accident...

 

 

1min of silence our national rowers...

There's no such ting as old. We hv all kinda ages too from students to working adults, exp and no exp. All kind of fitness level also can try. Bikers very garung also. Bike + Dragonboat ... Get wat i mean? Initially siong but its to break own limits lor. Challenging u kn. :cheeky:
