due to my inexperience and lack of knowledge, i have destroyed a section of my 125z body. i places thinner thinking it would remove the glue stains but instead it crumpled the paintwork as well. i heck care and painted over it but still can be seen, the 'crumple' paint like face bo peng like that.

is there anyway i can remove it? any shops i can go to touch it up?coz i would like to respray it again.

thank u very much.

Go any hardware shop, it will cost betw 40-50cents per paper. Buy low grades, low the grades the finer it is.

Sand all the paint job and wash the fairing suface and dry properly before doing any painting.

X-ilED is right on the sandpaper grades (the nos. represent sandpaper grain sizes) for fairings. As for the blinkers (just in case), the same old school DIY method is great for most minor falls.

For blinkers/mirrors (ABS type) :-

You can try start with 50, followed by the med 100~200 and finalize with the fine grades (500~800 depending of your blinker's/mirror's roughness) before you start spraying. Sanding with water or GT85 will great improve the results!!

Thank You.

thanks guys for ur advice. the only way to remove stickers nicely is by heat is it? and how many coats of paint do i have to put on to make it last? some parts that i sprayed scratch off easily. or must i add on any special laquer/coating?

The are decals/stickers with non-residue adhesive (OEM decals are made of that & mostly from 3M), which should not poise a problem. Those without that properties (like the pump ron95 decal, it is made that way to deter end-user from peeling off), use GT85 to wipe the remaining residue off with a paper towel. Works for my past 2 bikes. Petrol works but it is very corrosive on laquer. Wipe long & hard enough & you will know why. :giddy:

Thank You.
