i've done more than 600,000km over 12 years riding, the one accident i got into, i was not lane splitting. some MOFO managed to miss his exit on AYE on lane 1 and decided to e-brake and stop. Then bang! Afterwhich driver got out, checked his car, (i was the 3rd vehicle in the lane, i hit the 2nd vehicle) and promptly drove off, oblivious to the carnage he caused behind him. 4th and 5th vehicle had accident also involving a brand new car.

Would not have happened if i was lane splitting.

Case by case story. If a car slam onto a car besides you. Would you be thankful for lane splitting?

While lane splitting, driver change lane within checking blindspot, would you lane split?

When riding, a truck from the opposite side of the road loses control and flies over the center divider and kills you, would you still ride?

Lane splitting done responsibly is MUCH safer than sitting in the middle of the lane behind cars. This is backed up by numerous studies in UK, US and around the world statistically. If your purpose here is to post unconstructive comments by asking stupid questions like that, pls go to the Used Bike section where the rest of your unconstructive comments can be found.

Sadly, you are neither sharing nor learning. While I may be rude, especially to you specifically, I certainly don't wish misfortune on others.

Well said. I prefer to ride in a way that is well studied and has been proven statistically.

Hello guys, true, what i do is i will ride defensively and try to anticipate for sudden movements, kind of saved me a few times already, especially when i'm at exits, like from PIE to CTE, you will see many asshats doing last minutes exit

The chevrons and double white lines are for decoration purposes. These drivers will just cut across and force you out of the way just so to not miss the exit.
