Hi Folks,

Just bought over from a fellow forumer and revamp the whole bike including the internals. Owned it for about 6 months now and barely clocked less than 2k km. Bike is on BT45. Any recommendations for a more confident tyre. Did a drift *sweat* when coming out a corner. Advise appreciated.

I used BT021 very confident with that tire. Havent tried BT023 thou. Dun have my side lol. BT045 for long distance thus more durable which also means less sticky on road.

I advise you should also look into the suspension setting....

Thanks Folks.

Though the current set is fairly new, will probably source the pricing for the recommended tyres.

Hi guys,

Does any kind soul here owning a CB750 rc42 model know the differences between the bikes sold commercially and the learner models that BBDC/SSDC used to operate? Apart from the rear suspension, which on the learner models does not seem to have the external reservoir....

I am looking for an affordable, simple air-cooled and easily-serviced bike to ultimately make a long overland tour of Asia (3-6 months) after graduation, and this is one of my choices. I am considering getting one of the ex-learner bikes floating about on the forums and would like to find out more before pulling the trigger. Thanks in advance bros!

Learner bikes has bigger radiator and they're hydraulic clutch. Other than than I'm not sure of any difference.

Condition wise it's hard to say. The CB750 odometer has only 5 digits, thus you wouldn't really know its' true mileage.

AJ's bike (sold) was learner's and he doesn't have any problem with it, but some bike shops advice against getting those, your choice. Good luck.

Hydro clutch? I would have thought only higher end bikes would be fitted with those... oh well, a hydro clutch would be near impossible to service on the road in the event of crash damage... i'll keep that in mind.

The bikes i saw were at a dealer's shop, they had about 30-40k km on the clock, but then again it could have been 130-140k. I'd like to believe it's the former though...after all they would have spent their entire lifetime going around the circuit at low speed. Then again, you never know....

Nice! Saw one today in Singapore with the same exhausts but with full fairing in white and red. Nice and unique looking CB.

Does cb1300 have VTEC?

There is no VTEC for CB1300. so the power is always there.

Only VFR800 and CB400 have VTEC for better fuel consumption.
