Driving goods vehicle into M'sia

Anyone noes if driving a goods vehicle into M'sia need to apply anything? I mean driving one without goods meant for social visit only.. thanks.

Driving a goods vehicle into M'sia definitely needs a special permit from M'sia (I think from JBJ or something lidat) as far as I know of but not too sure the procedure in getting one...

Sorry, for my info is mini bus van can. Number plate start with (PA or PB) and you need to buy malaysia road tax.

i am not sure either... but i jus want to drive in without goods as social visit.. with the other lads riding and maybe as a support vehicle for touring long distance

btw.. i am asking here becos i tried calling LTA... they ask me to call High Commission of M'sia in Singapore...so i called, and they asked me to call RTD of M'sia.. and then i called again.. they asked me to call LTA

you need a vehicle permit fr JPJ aka malaysia's LTA. w/o this permit, if you are caught in msia, you risk getting a fine and your vehicle impounded.

 

application may or may not be approved due to quota... maybe you could check with dirtwheels @ tampines with regards to this.

i did asked another fren of mine... he told me that need to apply at a booth after the customs with log card and some charges... anybody can confirm this? thx

anyway...it is possible to drive a G plate into malaysia..anyone who doubts this can come check out my malaysia road tax on my vehicle...

 

its just a matter of knowing how to do it...and whether it is worth it to get it or not...

 

it is quite a closely guarded secret among those in the know..and if too many people know how to do it..they would probably put an end to it...

 

s'pore wont have any problems...just go lor...the problem comes from our northern neighbour...

if you are really keen to know...come to the eurovanclub meetups...when people can put a face to the nick...they will be more willing to share info...

 

not that its a top secret...neither is it some underhand method...just that we dont want the whole world to know....when too many people know...some action will be taken to plug this loophole...and all of us suffer...
