A little pic to "Whet Your Appetite"

both are very good bikes, it depend on your preference.

You use to ride the FZ1S right, which one do you prefer bro after riding the Tracer for awhile?

Love those eyes man btw.

You need to ask me specific questions!!!

Just a general comments:

FZ1S pros

136hp remap

engine is smoother

throttle can drag longer before change to the next gear

engaging a higher gear at 4rpm and above is buttery smooth

more confident at higher speed

less vibration

cornering is stable

seats for rider and pillion is comfortable

stable at high speed

power delivery from mid to top

with top and side panniers installed, the bike still feel very stable

FZ1S Cons

engine very hot

fuel consumption higher, 16Km/L

sensitive to good oil change

not ideal for heavy traffic conditions

body weight more lean forward

wrist get numb and ache easily

during braking pillion seems to slide forward

Carb weight 221kg

may require to lower a gear to overtake, when at low rev and at higher gear

not ideal for my age (above 40)

suspension too soft

MT-09 Tracer pros

105hp, as per spec, but in S'pore humidity I think it should be slightly lower

more grunt at low to mid rpm from any gear

very light and easier to ride

pick up slightly faster and responsive

thus, easier to smoke other sporty bike cos I don't want to be bullied

petrol consumption is excellent, managed nearly 20Km/L

I do not need to lower a gear to overtake a car

Carb weight 205kg

upright riding position, more ideal for me

MT-09 Tracer Cons

wind blasting on the chest

bar too wide

seat too high

more vibrations

engine and exhaust too quiet

engine rev not as smooth

wanted to wheelie unnecessary

suspension too hard

not recommend for younger rider or those just receive its Class 2 license, cos will loss your license easily

No offense bro and this is not out of jealousy. One slight drawback of this bike for me personally is the back lights. Look like an afterthought..

Nice front lights though. Didn't know about that..

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

I don't buy this bike because of its front or rear lights, I bought this bike from my 24 years of riding experience in S'pore, to M'sia & Thail and overseas professional reviews that has convinced me that I require a Tracer. I booked this bike since Jan this year.

Pretty puzzle what is holding them back with the inclusion of cruise control since YCCT,is in place,if it was to be an occasional tourer....hopefully it will be OEM upgrade-able....

if yammie add too many features in its 1st version of the tracer, there will be no more room for improvements in the 2nd version. And no 1 will buy it and wait for resale.

but, there's some reserved mounting point at the triple clamp & a switch slot reserved at the control side too.

Regards,

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

If only they do a lowered suspension model for this. Seat height too high for me.

They do have the lowering kit. Itll be lowered to the same as the naked.

Keep calm and keep on riding ~
