Dear All,

 

For those who know Brownie (My dog for the past 13 years), he is now in Critical Condition and is fighting for his dear life. He is found with infection in his esophagus, Lungs, Kidney and Stomach.. According to the vet he might not be able make it pass tonight. Hope miracle will happen.

Dear All,

 

For those who know Brownie (My dog for the past 13 years), he is now in Critical Condition and is fighting for his dear life. He is found with infection in his esophagus, Lungs, Kidney and Stomach.. According to the vet he might not be able make it pass tonight. Hope miracle will happen.

u know me well, i have experienced the same when my most beloved passed on due to viral infections too. Though it was only 4 years, it is the most beautiful moment of my life. When she was standing between a very thin line of difference between life and death, doc suggested only a slim chance of 10% survivor rate with med drip, not taking into consideration that the viral infection is uncurable at this moment........ Will you take that chance? or will you let her go so that she does not continue to suffer and live in uncertainty? We chose the best doc to treat her and the rest is up to her to decide if she wants stay? When she chose to leave us, we were devastated beyond words. But from buddhist's point of view, she had served us well and its time for her to move on to reincarnate into a human form and no longer have to suffer.....

 

No doubt she is no longer with us, she lives in our heart forever including my friends, family even strangers...... Bless all our friends whom had shared their life with her, loved her as much as we do......

 

To everybody.......... love and treasure every moment and live with no regrets.......

sad to hear... i can perfectly understand what you are going thru...

 

my previous beloved (Lynn) also like that... i found her on the streets and she was very pityful then... but i guess she just have that connection with me and i decided to adopt her...

 

she was not the first that i tried to adopt... but my parents' objection always overwritten mine...

 

but somehow, Lynn was special... my parents objected at first but soon grew fond of her and she was the apple in the family's eyes...

 

when i first took her home, the vet assessed that she was about 7yrs old... and she went on with us for the next 7yrs...

 

despite her age, she was strong and outgoing... we will take her out to stroll at least twice a day...

 

years gone by and we knew her health was going downhill as part of aging... her failing hearing, her slower movements, her loosing of sight...

 

while we know, it is a matter of time to loose her... we braced on as the thought of loosing a family member was never easy to accept...

 

eventually, it became so bad that she would groan at nights... but she was so sensitive... she will stop groaning the moment i stroke her... i know she still feels the pain inside... cos whenever i go back to bed, she will groan again...

 

our heart broke to see her suffer... and the vet confirm that her leg joins have wear out already... thats why she will be in pain...

 

we struggle and tried to hold on to her... but even the vet advised that we us to let her go as she was too old for any possible ops...

 

it was a very painful process... the vet took her away as we all know that was the last time we will feel her body heat...

 

after a long while... the vet took her back to us... her eyes were closed and her body was already cold... the vet left her with us for as long as we like...

 

my mum spoke to her for the last time asking her to forgive us in making that decision to let her go... given a real choice... we would not want to come to such an ending...

 

it has been more than 2 years already... we have a new member in the family... but things were never the same...
