thinking of changing to full syn eo 2mrw...wat are the good brands or type to use??

Alternatively, can try Maxima....

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....showtopic=77179

Extract from the thread;-

Take this opportunity to try out Maxima's top grade engine lubricant. Thinking of forking out $22+++ for a Motul 300V, why not try out Maxum4 Ultra at a never before (and ever after) price of $18.50? Get a USA best selling chain lube at a great price to boot! See the published independent analysis and decide for yourself which is better!

the 300V he referring is Motul 300V... so far the best engine oil i used on my Super 4... try it.. u will find it very good... Fuchs Sikolene to me is really too hot liao... Castrol R4 is nv use b4.. but heard good comments abt it from other owners too... but so far... i still highly recommend Motul 300V

Which is better for s4? Motul 300v factory line or competition? Heard it's not cheap comes at $22 / bottle is it true?

Should i use motul factory line or competition for s4? Any comments? Think 1 of them is 5w40 n the other is 15w50 right?

Just change mine to BP Vistra 10w50w 500J @ K&T. They are having a Promo. Which is

4 bottles + Original Honda Oil Filter - $80

3 Bottles + Original Honda Oil Filter - $65

Temp drop. Better compare to Silkolene.

I am using Motul V300 competition right now. $22 per bottle + $10 std workmanship charge for changing the oil at Mah Motor Agency.

By far ... I think pretty good and not too hot.

Then again .... these few weeks not been riding and when start, still feel quite good.

As for spark plug change, it is all depends on individual usage of the bike. Some can last longer before change of spark plug.

Check out Maxima Oils, highest performance on the market at great introductory prices. For those not keen to DIY, check out the reputable workshops carrying Maxima products. Do give them a call beforehand because not all viscosities and grades are in stock at all shops. Racewerks at Alexandra is the best stocked workshop for now.

For super4, Extra 15W50 will give u nice slick quiet shifting and engine operation. Ultra 5W50 will release the hidden ponies for a more racy feel with ultimate wear protection. For ultimate breakneck acceleration that'll give sportbikes a run for their money, use the Extra or Ultra 40 grades. All Maxima 4T are fully syn ester based, the best of the best, fortified with extra robust antiwear package for maximum protection of your engine.

That's energy conserving, will not work well with some bikes. Pick something with JASO MA rating, not only does it spec for wet clutch compatibility, it also specs a minimum 'endurance' for the oil. Some car oils will not meet this endurance because of the damaging effect of the motorcycle transmission on the oil.

Hey guys, for those in the North, Eddy Ong Motors in AMK Ind Park 1 is carrying Maxima EO as well. Got package going on, $65 for 3X Maxima Extra Fully Syn with oil filter. Pretty good value as the oil standalone goes for $20 already.

Is this Chex9000 confirm fully-syn? Cos the bottle says 'synthesis' oil, not fully-synthetic.

Btw i got it at $3/bottle, which is freaking cheap, if its fully-syn
