Give this trip some support!!! If my Yamaha Fino 115 can go up Cameron highland, I don't see why the others cannot... And it went up Mount Brinchang too.

Bike still can go up to the hotel. No worries. But will be a really slow ascent for you if your wife comes along. And definitely you won't make it up to the top peak as well. But that's just a vintage point. So can skip that.

Hi Bro Scarab, I have booked Dew Drop Inn for 2 nites. Wife 95% coming along. Guess its gonna be a slow ride up for me:sweat:

Yo Bro Scarab, how do I prevent my wife & I from falling asleep and falling off our scooter during the 1 am ride? Should I tie her to the top box and superglue her to the seat? Or just drink a gallon of coffee during the day? Any suggestions would be most welcomed:sleep:

Tootall, usually for night ride. I will spend the whole day sleeping then wake up to go. In between the ride or during the ride, keep yourself hydrated. Drink lots of water. I will drink water, red bull and 100+ the whole night. Pillion will be more jialat, they might have to play hp game or watch movie to keep them self awake as they got nothing to do. What my friend did was that they have intercom set so they talk majority of the journey. Some of my friends will also drink coffee when at fuel stop...

1am ride... reach Tapah at 7am-7.30am.

The ZZzzzZzZ monster will most probably hit you at 5am.

Bring a small towel and a water bottle to wash face if sleepy in between stops.

Otherwise, aim for every rest area (approx 50km each) to freshen up for 5 mins. No harm be slower but arrival safe.

Thank U TanArthur N SW9000 for all your advice. Have never ridden at that ghostly hour before. I think apart from the sleepiness, we gotta worry about the cold (and possibility of rain) too. I will most probably go slow (90 - 100kmh) along the shoulder and keep tickling the wife to keep her awake. Stopping at every petrol station might help too cos my tank only 5 litres max.can go only about 120km finish liao...So I must not be too blur and miss a stop or else "jia lat", gotta push! LOL, By the way, got any pre-trip briefing or gathering?

Well, you've read all the suggestions here. For me personally, I drink Ribena every stop and try to rest before the start of the ride for at least 4 hours. During the ride, I don't like to stop too long as I'll get lethargic. So usually I'll top up, drink the Ribena then go off liao. 😄

Scarab, just to enquire. Presently how many bikes n are they all scoot attending? May consider joining u.

Big bike side will have at least two. Small bikes side also only two so far. Not counting the silverwing group that's going on their own.

Think you better have those one litre metal tumbler for spare petrol. If any one of those petrol stations are closed for renovations or other reasons then the distance to the next one will be more than your range liao.

Briefing will be on the day itself as there's aren't many participants. I'll be visible to you on the ride so just follow behind me and I'll guide you along. Only a few turn offs to and fro the highways so gotta make sure you're with me lest you go MIA. 😁

Just make sure the bottle is able to store petrol. Some plastics will melt or warp.

just to be safe, why not just get those 1 gallon tin @ petrol station.will ensure propper storage and its 3.5 liters.cheers.

The 1 gallon petrol tin would be ideal but may not have sufficient storage space since I gotta carry 2 persons' stuffs (clothes, shampoos, bath tub...) for the 2 nites up there.

Think I will use old car shampoo bottle (2L). Thanx for the idea anyway. Cheerio!
