I got 1.1K cash in hand.

totally clueless whether to buy sp or kr. Sp nicer but it seems kr lesser maintenance. My take is get sp since insurance lower than kr, abt $400 difference.

I want to down payment of ard 1K at any recommended shops(please recommend me), getting ntuc insurance is cheaper compared to mitsui but will the shop let me choose wat insurance i want?..

How?

... What the? SP insurance so cheap meh? I paid $450+ for my kips insurance, so if i ride SP, i would only pay $50+? :dozed:

Anyway, u can down for a kips/sp with 1k.. but i really, really suggest u keep some $$$ for the first few months. Most bikes in shop sure have problem one..

get a fren wif at least 2 yrs riding exp to acc u to bike shopping.

new bikers tend to pay "special prices" so becareful not to get chopped too much.

i just got an SP FT plate from VS motorsports. I've searched around the forum but i couldnt find any feedbacks/complaints/compliments about the shop. Here is what i got from them. The guy working there seemed to be nice. But, that is obvious.

Machine price - 2.8 K

LTA registration - 80

3rd Party insurance from NTUC - 620

Hire Purchase agreement - 280

All summed to $3780.

i down 1K. So, left $2780(always check before u sign)

He gave me 6% interest rate per annum. therefore,

1st year interest, 2780 x 6% =$166.80

2nd year interest, 166.80 x2 =$333.60

So, 2780 + 333.60 = 3113.60 is what i got to pay.

since i take 2year plan, 3113.60 divide by 24,

each month, i have to pay 130.

What do you guys think?

I think u cant juz times the annual interest by 2.

u should add the $166.80 to the $2780 then times 6% again to get the second year interest...:faint:

btw... from your nickname... are you born in 1988?

if yes... then you are like... 19 years old... with P Plate..

i think you can use your 1100bucks to pay for your insurance.

which MIGHT NOT be enough also....

Wanna know, if buy from bike shop, do we have to pay the full amount for insurance first, PLUS the downpayment of the bike inclusive of the different charges?

Or is it everything add together then put 1 downpayment and the rest by installments?

Yes, it is everything add together into one down payment.

Usually, from my opinion, paying in full for insurance will benefit you better since there will not be installments inclusive of your insurance.
