hey guys... justa question.. i just quit my job and am thinking of doin another one or 2 modules...

 

i have registered for for 2.4 and 2.5 at ftc... no thinking of registering for for 2.6.... is 2 late 2 register? thinking of registering on 3rd jan...

anway hw is the level for part2?

i was told that part 3 is dam hard..

was told that alot of people also cannot complete the whole thing?

is it very hard?

feel like taking acca but ho scare to hard ended got nothing.

tuesday is my 2.4 in the evening....

 

if i were 2 take 2.6, it probably be on wed or thurs...

 

 

as mentioned, i have enrolled for 2.4 and 2.5...

 

i am gonna enrol for 2.6 on 3rd jan... and also i am thinking of signing up for a level 3 class....

 

ie. 4 papers in total as i intend not 2 work this sem...any comments or advices for me?

from what i heard from my ex superior , she said a no of her frens quit their jobs 2 focus on level 3....

 

based on this i suppose it ius less copable as compared 2 level 2 papers

if u do 4 papers per sem and clear them on first attempt. you are done within 2yrs.

 

3 papers per sem and on first attempt. 2.5yrs.

 

2 papers.... u do the math.

go to ftc office at starhub centre. u can read all u want. got bookshelf there. part1, part2, part3, acca, cat.

2.5 is ok i think. But 2.4 is bad (well for me at least).... i hope can clear my 2.4 !!! I dont wanna retake 2.4!!!

not pinning high hopes on the level 3 papers. i'm just preparing myself for retaking the papers i sat for.

i have only taken 1.1 and 1.2 papers.

taking 1.3, 2.1, 2.2 papers.

because was told by alot of auditor and accountant that its dam tough.

my girlfriend bro-in-law used to be a auditor in earnest and young for 5 years.

after that he went to teach acca he told me that is it so hard that he need to refer to the model answer even though he had 5 years of working experience...

don't keep saying hard leh... very demoralising to people studying now!!! I realised 2.6 is mostly like poly audit and its more on audit asst's work!

a partner in a firm that i used 2 work for told me...might as well pay more for a degree than ACCA ...not easy 2 pass:nono:

for me i went to NTU and bum around for 1yr and did both ACCA and engineering for the next half a year. uninterested and engineering hence dropout, 'A' level grades C C D not good enough for any other acct course in local uni... thus ACCA..

 

kinda consulted misterbean b4 deciding to dropout from ntu.

 

i didnt consider SIM since i was already at FTC kaplan, anyone considered SIM?

like SIM UOL RMIT

SAA ACCA

MDIS Uni of Bradford.

in engineering course then after my dip decided to going into accounting.

consult any few people regarding accounting..

one of them is my girlfriend bro-in-law.

indeed ACCA is real recongised in the accounting whole but not everyone can complete it.( that what i'm been told)

enquired about RMIT and UOL

RMIT is slightly easier because it a aus dregee. exam is like poly semster base.

UOL is better cuase the course it accounting and fianance unlike RMIT which is purely accounting exam is like A LEVEL. pass or fail is just that paper but it should be slightly harder then RMIT because it a UK dregee.

SAA ACCA the cheapest and the fastest if you can clear all the paper one time.

the downside it dam hard to clear all the paper especially part3 but it well recongised i believe it even more recongised then NTU accountancy if you are comparing worldwide.

for RMIT and UOL after you get your dregee you still need to go ICPAS to sit for an exam before being a provisional member of CPA

so total time spend is about 4 years!

 

(the above is base on what i know correct me if i'm worng)

 

anyway i still cannot deciede what path to choose.
