Ben...Nice meeting up with u to look at your Givi set-up of top box.

Just got my Supersprox 44T rear sprocket and fitting it up tomorrow...more suitable for touring duties...should get better fuel/mileage also.

Noticed immediately smoother, less whinning noise from drive assembly(Sprocket & Chain).

No more searching for the 7th gear, instead sometimes in 5th and did not realise there is another gear up for 6th.

Overall less frantic acceleration, more useable power delivery.

For me personally have to agree with the thread in Kawasaki Versys Forum wrt the 44T rear sprocket change is the ticket to transform your Versys.:thumb:

local riding can hit 400km with 19L, but i ever pump 20L LOL! i can get about 23km/l if i dun go over 110km

depend whether u have box on, and wat type of box it will affect at wat speed u will feel the wobble.. but 140~150 should be np..

if got pillion the bike will be more stable.. :) i tried with 3 box with pillion going at 170plus still ok :)

price OTR now should be 21k plus minus.. but dunno still have stock anot..

hi friend, if u are more towards long distance touring of coz versys will be better...

tenere 660 is reali high, the seat high very high LOL and its tube tire.. =X

den i meant a guy he used to ride the 660 den say no not enough power den change to super tenere :D haha

but compare to versys i dunno which 1 has more power leh.. sorry cant help u in that..

but touring i am sure versys should be more comfortable. :)

If u plan to do some offroad touring, xt660 is more suited. Versys despite its appearance, is still very much a road bike. However, Versys does handle dirt or trunk road pretty well so if ur touring is very much nshw n some small roads, Versys is the more comfortable choice.

any1 done aftermarket spring or shock, i find the rear a little too harsh.

i am on a bitubo rear shock..

it can customise to ur ride load.

price is 1000 for normal length, 1050 for a shorter length

Nice, does it come with compression damping and hydraulic preload adjuster? I was thinking of Wilbers or hyperpro, seems like a very divided view among riders about the progressive springs hyperpro offer. Was wondering any1 had a hyperpro setup?

eh i not very sure leh.. haha wasn't sure whether got compression haha but got rebound..

it was factory setup so i jus fix it up..

i choose bitubo becoz its the only shock brand with local warrently and arthorise local service center.. mezzo international.

other brand there isn't any local service center even for ohlins, HKL is jus a shop that do servicing for ohlins and other shocks too.

Hi rex & all...Just to share some watch area when taking delivery of your new Versys from my experience when i took mine from bikeshop.

1. Tyre pressure too low >>> affecting handling.

2. Chain tension very tight >>> gear change need alot of effort, not smooth... notchy feeling.

3. EO level abit on the low side >>> experience EO warning light flickering on a few occasions.

4. Radiator coolant leakage from connecting hose to engine as i can see dried up streak of coolant on engine block.

Cheers

hey guys..im very interested in getting this bike...

Some of my queries as follows:-

1)Any reviews on how this bike perform offroad?

2) And i realise that the endcan is rather low (and wierdly placed?)..haha..

anyway, are there any aftermarket exhaust that would so called "elevate" the ground clearance of it?

3) Are there any "neccessary" mods required for touring purposes?

Any info is very much appreciated..thanks!
