Greetings,

There is an enquiry, that an answer can hopefully follow.

Recently there was a motorcycle that wanted to park at a motorcycle parking lot at Tampines Stadium, however, there was a car parked in the motorcycle lot. Therefore, the motorcycle was parked beside the motorcycle parking lot (with some portion of the motorcycle blocking the car - no choice as there is no motorcycle parking lots left). However when the motorcycle owner came back about an hour later, the car had left and the motorcycle had been moved.

It was not parked properly, and it was noticed that the side mirror was bent and scrapped and the left exhaust had some scratches.

There have been some saying (not sure of its validity) that if an owner found that the motorcycle has been moved, he should report it to the police, as someone might have tamper or did something with the bike (under the owners name).

Therefore, the question is, should this report this incident to the police?

Photos from 3 angles of the before (the motorcyle was moved) and after. A photo f the licence plate was also taken.

Thank you for your assistance on this matter

Regards

Garang

Illegal parking also doesn't give pple the right to do anything to your bike mah. Then the car which parked on the motorcycle lot should be scratched, poured with paint, put oil on the brake discs, poke nail into the tyres?

1) The car was parking illegally, he should be fined.

2) The motorcycle parked illegally, he should be fined as well.

3) The car owner did something to the bike and ran away. He/She should be charged for that.

I have decided to report the matter to the police, I am willing to be fined for illegal parking.

Yes, I have pictures of the car in the motorcycle lot, have submitted it to the police.

I believe if you claim against the other party, it should be 100% claim. I heard from somewhere, if bike not moving 100% claim but if accident on road 90% claim.

In the first place I do agree that the car is at fault. Do submit to police for a report then see if you are able to claim the damages.

Normally, the driver will just horn and horn. If the motorcycles are all heavy bikes and handlebar locked. Good luck to the driver, his only option is to wait. If he calls the authorities, he will be slapping his own mouth. If he intends to knock the bikes over.. he better hopes he gets away with it, if not, good luck to a 'Hit-n-Run' offence if witnessed by someone.

Or maybe he can learn from Mr Bean and drive up the curb if he's really in a hurry. =P

I personally moved other people's bike before but i did it with care and daringly. Well, the bike is blocking my way, I have to move it so i can move off. If the person returns, just politely explain his bike is blocking ur way and u are carefully moving it away. Look, we won't intentionally spoil the bike right? If he shouts or scold or looks aggressive.. call Police, simple, no point argue. Disputes can lead to fights and eventually 2 or more monkeys in hospital =)
