Is it worth upgrading to comprehensive insurance?

hi everybody,

 

when i first bought my first-hand bike, there was woodland arson. so i bought thrid party fire and theft. now, only 6 months and my bike got badly vandalise, eventhough i parked in MSCP, facing the road where many ppl pass by!

 

worse, insurance co told me cannot claim! :cry:

 

thinking of upgrading to comprehensive... is it worth it? after my bike got vandalise, will it be very expensive. i never had accident, only self-skid.

what is the model of the bike. Also how old are you. If 2b bike, i will advise you to stick to TFPT insurance. As for the vandalism, i advise you to invest a bike cover and lock it. THat is better and much more cheaper.

i am 30+, riding rxz. the repair cost is $200+

scared they will vandalise again.

Since it's a RXZ, Plus u r 30yrs old, why not u check the pricing for comprehensive first.. Dan see how much u need to top up? If top up $100-$200, Ithink its worth it as the repair cost will be more than what u have to pay for the topping up of insurance.. I believe the insurance for comprehensive is not that ex for RXZ based on ur age..

from 3rd party cannot change to comprehensive ! ..i think got such rule.

 

cos the insurance company scared u claim " previously caused damage"

First hand bike if you can afford comprehensive coverage, always a good idea to get that. At least you will have a peace of mind should anything happens to your bike...

try not to think this way, even if u had bought a comprehensive coverage,dun tell me u wants things to happen (touch wood) so that what u paid to the insurance company is worth it?? you should know the chances that things can happen to our ride is quite high.And on a personal view....luck for not so rich people like me is not too good most of the time,so dun take chances..

hmmm... even if you buy comprehensive insurance and benefits from it by claiming repair costs, it will only mean that your next premium will be much higher cuz of the claims isn't it? i think comprehensive will be useful for big ticket repairs.... my friend gotta fork out 7k to repair his bike after accident and regretted not getting a comprehensive insurance for his brand new bike.

 

it will always seem to be a waste of money, until you need to activate it....

yup because of the claim made,yr next premium will be high but the initial fork out for the huge repair is taken care of..

think and review on your life, riding style etc.....

 

you ride fast ? where is your bike always at, parked etc etc.

Frequent Malaysia 2nd link etc etc, risk at working plate ? a lot of bikes squeezing or cars juz whizzz past by few cm.....think of your wallet also...how long you want to ride the bike? 1yr, buy comprehensive hace piece of mind..or 3 years you can afford ? ..how much diff from comprehensive to fire theft and 3rd party? Sometimes if little then can take if diff like $500 ..can buy one slip on race muffler or wad liaozzz !

 

think about it...or go wif your mind ...if cannot decide , juz hantaM and Buy!
