Latest information gathered. :)

I was told Singapore is confirm getting the allocation for about 10pieces out of 2,500units world production for the first batch and they only come in black color.

All these are indicative info from the Yamaha Japs, machine price might be around 20-22k.

With GST, COE, road tax and insurance added could roll up to 24-26k or more OTR depends on your age range.

Thanks for the updates, and with that kinda pricing, i'm in for a second bike... By the way, when would the shipments arrive ya???... As i'm not in a rush, i sure do hope that it be sometime in November or December... In that way, i am able to put aside the $$$$ for this mean machine...

I thought 2500units are heading for US alone?

I don't think you can compare MT-01 to the new Vmax..... they are designed for different category.

BTW, the new Vmax has more HP and torque compared to the MT-01.

Oh yes shipment ... I miss out this part.

I was told ETA is around October. The agent should be ready for some official launch and whichever bikeshow coming up. :p

Okay, sounds good...Would you prefer to wait for it to be in the showroom first before signing-up and paying a deposit for it???....What say you bro???

i still feel doubtful of the actual power & response you will get from this new Max although the specs look good.. must try it personally our b4 even considering to get one for myself.. Wonder if they allow test rides huh??????

I don't think so...Just like when i bought the MidnightStar 1900cc, no test ride nothing but it's whether you want it or not...That's Hong Leong's policy lah bro...

If you are unsure..... The best way is not to get the first unit. Let others try first and also give some time for Yamaha to iron out glitches on the first batch.

I don't think yamaha will dare to over state the power/torque after the R6 lesson.

Ok, we shall wait till it arrive.

World production maybe done in November, October arrival maybe just for display.

So many talking, everything is so unsure.

Yes. That's what worries me. The hype for it is huge but i rather wait to see the bike personally...

Yup i'll wait for you to get 1st for me to try!! Wad R6 lesson??

When they annouced the new R6, the spec mentioned that it can rev to 17000rpm when in fact the real rpm is 16,000+. the claim was quickly retracted when dyno test reveals that fact.

Yup no questions on the old Vmax's power.. Wondering if the new ones will have the same 'kick' as from the old ones......

197bhp is no joke.... sure got kick.
