Greetings guys, been reading the posting & reply and its seem i set my eyes on this bikes...in 3 yrs time ;(

Currently riding a phantom & want a super-cruiser in the future...

can the expert/owner of v-max here advice me if its adviseable from a TA200 jump to V-max? been reading around, & it seem all highlighted the brute-force of the bike & poor handling.

& if i want to get a 1st-hand, wats the price range i'm looking at?

regards.

We are no experts here but here are some comments......... Switching to a Vmax is a totally different experience bcos the 1980s handling sucks like hell!!!............ Not to mention the 140+hps to make it even worse................You could shorten your life on a Vmax (literally) as it dun handle the way you want it to react...It just wants to go straight!!!...........And it is also very straining on your pockets as it keeps breaking down & you will want to get rid of it!!!!..................the worse part is there is no expert mechanic with the knowledge of tuning/repairing the Max................ Fuel consumption on a regular motorcar is more economical than the Max.............tyres dun stick to the road as it keep sliding when you open the throttle & it's even harder to find replacements as the size is odd (15" rear, 18" front)............Petrol tank is so bloody small that you have to visit the gas station every 2 days...............

But when i'm on the Vmax...........Nothin else matters.................

Forgot to answer your questions...

I wouldn't advise switching from a 2B bike straight to a Vmax as the power can be very very dangerous if you not used to riding a Class 2 bike already...dun want another vmax rider to bite the dust...

Current Vmax model no longer available in Singapore.... So used maxxes is your only option for now unless you wanna get the New upcoming Vmax but it's a different bike altogether.....

Existing Maxxes on sale are relatively cheap to buy but the maintenance cost can be a problem....

Hope this helps!

Rickzhee, thanx for the reply, a couple of my colleagues, also forumers here advice me against straight jump to 1000+ cc bike.

also if i'm looking for a high acceleration dragster/cruiser, should i go with modded dragstar? or please recommend me some, seen alot of modd which i want to have.

one of my fav is the intruder pics shown in one of the threads in this forum.

Bike heavy, handling lousy, braking is crap, electrical is a nightmare and consumption is a bomb !!! But dammit , its the bike with the most character and ooomph on the road !!!

You want to mod a dragster ? NOthing beats a VMAX !!!! Check out the VMAX MOD thread from the VMAX Club SIngapore !! http://svog.proboards25.com/index.cgi?boar...read=1143817026

* Warning : Prolonged periods on a VMAX causing wide eyeballs, papitating heart, sweaty palms, wind drawn facial features, big biceps( due to fighting the steering) and most importantly, Loss of financial freedom !! :huohuo:

Hi there...If you are looking for a 'cruiser' or dragster, I don't think any other bikes in this catagory can be compared to the Vmax...UNless you have a super budget to purchase those new super high cc cruisers but i have doubts about their actual power...What bike you get depends very much on yourself & your character...Getting a Vmax is quite extreme because you know you will be getting yourself into alot of trouble (headaches, $$$, frustrations) that's why our Vmax group here are all crazy suckers & need mental help (admit it guys....).........

You could get a Hardly Dangerous or some look alikes.......they sound nice.........
