heard that its selling for abt 16 to 17k..

There are many sites that feature Hayabusas......

 

Do a search on google or yahoo.....

 

Ultimately, its how much you want/can pump into your bike..... the carbon fibre wheels alone start from $2,500..... then the braking systems can cost up to $3,000, and there's the suspension, up to $5,000......the exhaust system also starts above $1,400.....

 

These are just the few common modifications......on top of the bike price, well, it will amount to quite a lot, so decide which is your preference.....

Just wondering if there's anyone who just got a busa recently or intending to get one? Please share your views.

 

As for me, my mind is set for a busa. Like my previous posts, I mentioned about choosing between a R6 and a busa. I chose the latter not because the former was of lousier quality or performance. I decided on a busa after much readups and considerations. Apart from liking the curvy body work, it is more of a touring bike than a street bike. If I were to add Corbin boxes, it's even more convinient and relevant for touring. Well, at lease compared to the days when I rode my first bike, an FJ plated TZR, all the way to KL alone even before the NS highway was constructed! For the sake of beautification and performance, the mods are endless but on reality grounds, Singapore is not a suitable terrain.

 

No doubt a busa is not cheap at 24k+ for a first hand. I was wondering if I am day dreaming or trying to fulfil one. Honestly, I never even had my hands on a busa, not even touching it! However, this dream of owning 1 kept my adrenalin running. Not to mention that I never rode a Suzuki bike before. When I do, you know what it'll be...! :D

 

Finally, there is somewhat a reason for me to post. When my time comes as a proud owner of a busa, looking back at this post reminds me of how much love I have for da bike before I got it. So please dun delete this topic!

 

Question, can anyone recommend any good mags for busas? Information over the net is abundant but not to limit myself to that.

hey Hondanohito,

 

Well, if you want to touch a 'virgin' hayabusa, go down to Looi's.... they have a blackabusa......2003.... with the gold forks and gold brakes.....

 

There are several other colours available too.....a mix of red and silver AND blue and silver.......

 

If the price of a new busa looks too steep, consider a 2nd hand one... there are many around.... just got to make sure you know the history.... check it out with a good mechanic....one who knows the bike......

 

If you want to touch a 'non-virgin' bike, call someone with a busa.... there are a few around this forum..... then when you meet up, you can ask all the questions you have.......I'm sure the riders will oblige........

'Virgin' bike sure got a lot of people touch here and there one ar haha...

I'll make my way down to looi's someday to look see touch touch. I'll consider a 2nd hand if I cannot get a 'virgin' type with you mentioned considerations. Sort of also a training bike so if anything happens due to my 'chiu chengness' it won't be so bad afterall as to compare to a 'virgin' one.
