Just call Chong Aik to ask about TT100 tyres but they said got no size for w650..

and was told that they not bring in any..

cannot find tyres for my bike.. Chong Aik got so many tyres but dun have tt100 for our bike.

hey mate..great looking bikes...so mah moto cant get w650 anymore?i bet he can import...n one more things have you tried open the side covers? are the frames in 2 parts?like the bonneville itself with struts n nuts to secure both frames together...

no change to find a new one. why you want to make a replica when you can buy a new bonneville here?

well mate..the new bonneville frames are different...they dont make 2 parts unlike the 1969 bonneville..since kawa made exactly the same as bonneville except better..i thought it would be a 2 part frame..if only i could see the frames in real time...then i would probably satisfied..

I recently purchase a 10yrs W650 from an old uncle who gave up riding. I am looking for a pair of new tyres. Any recommedations? I know TT100 is unavaiable liao.

I don’t think W800 is selling very well. Unless you are a die hard W fan, otherwise there are plenty of choice at the price range of a W800 which is almost double of a new W650 10 years ago

Hmm,

 

Decided to buy a retro classic bike...Two on minds, A Triumph Bonneville or Kawa W800. Saw the new W800 at the agent

asking S$18.8k machine and a 2010 model T100 for S$18 machine...

 

Any comments?

It takes a lot of courage and determination to buy a Seiko that looks like a Rolex, at a more expensive price…

 

There are plenty of comparisons and debates between the two bikes if you do a google search. Ultimately, it all boils down to your own preference.

 

What I like about the W:-

All metal parts (almost)

Alloy rims

Bevel gear driven camshaft

Simplicity

It looks like a bike from the 60s

 

What I like about the T100:-

Brand

Machined wheel hubs

Location of the key switch

Throttle bodies that look like a carburettor
