If you really dun like him just go elsewhere to fix ur bike, there's so many bike shop out there, sure got one you'll like n go there. As for the rest, leave it to others to justified.

yes, i tink he is open on sunday.

 

use to go and let him service, he used to be quite friendly. but after changing my bike. he suddenly become quite rudeto me. dunno wad happen, maybe he dun like my new bike(its 2nd hand).dunno if he has any past incident relating to the bike.

 

anyway, there was once i went to his shop, not very busy. just wanna ask if he can sevice my bike seat cable. i went into the shop and stand there like a fool. ask him, he ignored me, treat me as transparent. i was so embarassed sia. i guai guai stand there for like 15 min? and let him finished servicing his bike before he open his mouth to entertain me.

 

he told me no parts, must order. i say nvm.

the last time i went to his shop to request for a new rear number plate. waited for 1 weekplus . still not ready. i was pissed, went to asphoon got my plate in 20 min.

 

i had a good impression of his shop in the start. i dunno why he suddenly turn into another person towards me overnight. maybe cuz of the history of the bike i riding now?.. anyway, nv go back there for a long time liao.

 

i dun tink i wanna go back there anymore.

 

HAHA, Master Chicken, dun think it has anything to do wif the history of your bike. Also dun think any bike shop will hate a biker for they's bike history.

Also go to a bike shop must know what they are best in. like number plate, think you go into wrong shop. Just like you go to a Malay kopi shop ask for pork curry.

Well, the Eddy i know, he's best in mokking bikes, repair bikes and tell you lot of storys It's a small shop, so most parts has to take from other shops, so his cost will be high too. If he gets his part @ $2 and sell you at $2, think his shop closed down long ago.

I'm not siding him, but i've been visiting his shop for years. At time i know it's abit more ex to do in his shop but i'm sure one thing, he never charge you for small jobs or even do it free for you. But as for those who ask Eddy to do thing for free or pay less do more job, yet when big job big money kind of work will go to other shop, who will like ???? Hope you understand what i'm saying.

When i go to a bike shop, service and honesty is impt to me. Just treat a cust with the basic respect, tats all. many shops can do it. my opinion so far which i have bad experience in service is dis shop and HKL. So i guess the problem does not lies in my attitude when i visit a bike shop.

 

Anyway, i tink there is some paint work issue with his neighbouring shop. From some info i can gather in the forum from the previous owner's posting.

Dunno if there is any link.

his shop wun close down one.. take 1 set of CHIONG piston, piston rings and conrod do overhaul and charge me original price. this is how they earn money.

 

i used to be a supportive customer of eddy ong. til i found out his dirty little secret.. bye!

i also kanna chop till carrot head.last time when ride SP find him quite good . change bike liao he change my starter relay for me for $95!!!i find out outside is only 40-60+ . Even some shop which i always say its veri exp quote 60$ . after tat i wun go back anymore.and i keep askin him wat prob etc.. he jus keep sayin "fix liao can ride liao" . nv tell me prob. zz

My opinion on Eddy Ong Motortiam..

 

My bro rode bike too and he used to service his bike at Eddy.. He always tell me how jialat the shop is..

 

I didn't believe him initially, tot maybe his expectation too high.. Until 1 day my batt flat and can't crank my bike, so i push start my bike and rode to Eddy to have my batt replaced.. When i reached, they didn't even bother to ask me wad happen.. I had to walk in and tell them my problem, like I begging for their service lidat..

 

Ok, as usual, Eddy changed my batt for me and even told me my rectifier is spoilt, but i juz change my rectifier a few months ago so i told him no need change.. He immediately shoot me say he mechanic or i mechanic? Say if i so pro in electronics den i repair myself lor.. Wah i heard liao immediately dulan, i insist on not changing my rectifier den juz rode off.. Until now, few months liao my bike still working perfectly..

 

My conclusion, unless you can take his temper and got tonnes of gold to spend on ur bike, den maybe u can try his service.. Recently i passed by his shop and saw nobody at his shop at all.. All of them smacking flies.. Maybe tat's y they have to carrot everyone in order to make profit..

 

Juz my opinion, no offence to any hardcore supporter of Eddy..

hmmm when one take to learn in his shop. i ever bought a bike (CBR400) from him before he went to source for me...trust him as i knew him for sometime. So story goes told me is a good bike and everything tats why price on the higher side....trusted him told him go ahead. When the bike came OMG. Fairing is in jialat condition and engine ****ed up. wiring also leaking water... He siad fairing is small matter told me come back ion a week he change the fairing. came back still the same he said bo bian very hard to get. In the end rode tat piece of crap for 2 months engine died. Send it for repair in another shop of mine with a very good rep in UBI. SHops says need to be overhual. wiring need to change. I asked if can take parts apart for me to see. i saw i was like

EDDY ONG is a person full of crap and liars. Even long time customers also wan chop. Heart Break. Total spend bike ($4700) overhual ($2000++). Wiring ($400++). thought of doing fairing which will cost a lot also.. In the end i sold it off and bought a class 2 bike which is perfect in condition and outlook swee. Thanks tat shop in ubi.

indeed so many things have changed.. ive used to go there for repairs on my past bikes and present and so have some of my friends.. all have been positive reviews.. the most recent was for a steering cone change. was excellent quality of service at a good price.. if the stories are indeed true, then i feel sad for eddy.

might be one sided stories.. but also .. if so many ppl come saying bad things.. then indeed must be something happened. but come to say.. customers have the right to decide where their money go to right? not because of this rider dont frequent this motordiam means the shop can say that this rider dont support him anymore right? ( in cases whereby this fella last time use to go this motordiam)

Ive been going to eddy'shop for more than 10yrs leow(since his old shop at ave 1). I personally find he's servicing really fantastic and reasonable.. He done my bikes from class 2b to class 2 ..so far im very satisfied...True he sometimes has a little attitude but nobody is perfect i guess..Ultimately visiting his shop is in the discrition of the rider himself ...So if dont like dont go loh...Im changing to a new class 2 bike next month and i will maintain attendance to his shop.

Well, it's true that no one can beat the price of LAB, but you have to wait, as for how long no one knows. And as for Eddy, just let him say what he wants to say, if you dun like the way he talk, next time get Ah Hai to do it for you.

Some time Eddy talk alot of C0CK but he's ok if you really know him well.

I only know there is a younger guy who alws wear a dark blue jumper and another guy who is abit skinny and lesser hair.

I used to service my bike there so far so good. I change to a gold chain before but after some washing of the chain, my chain turned to silver colour....
