Vibration @ 70km/h is normal....but after i had my EO changed to BeLraY's FS gOLD.....THE VIBRATION dissappear instantly....and do add nanoballs to ur fuel tank.....adds smoother pick-up, power and reduces FC.....do try....

Yup, some slight vibrations...

Guys, how many KM do you do ur runing-in? Manual say 500Km... Bike shop told me 2400km (That is if i nv hear wrongly... Hes a foreginer.. :cheeky:)

Btw, I do encounter problems starting my bike in the morning... Press engine start, then when i turn trottle, engine will stall.

This happens when i am on the road as well (Usually the first 5mins of driving) when there is a red light stop, then when green, i turn throttle as per normal, but engine will stall again.

Anyone experience this as well?

Do advice!

Ha, yeah.. read somewhere in the previous pages where you guys say its best to change the engine oil asap right?...

Hmmm, is it a hassle to change the engine oil? im totally new to bikes, should i change it myself or should i go to a motordiam?...

if i intend to ride my bike 4 more than 6 yr,does that mean i cannot put nanoball??pls enlight thanks.so far no one know how to remove the nanoball from tank??

Hmmm, actually $100 for 5 years is not that expensive bro.. 1 year $20? meaning 1 month $1.70.

Lets say u're ridding for 6 years... Lol then count as $200 loh.. which means 1 year $33? 1 month $2.70...

 its only $1 more per month.. Lol

Anyway, ive read threads that says that nano balls can be "fished" out as they come in fabric bags which is easier to fish out compared to just the ball... Others say that it is magnetic and hence, can be fish out using a strong magnet..

Not sure, above are infomation i got from reading forums... :cheeky:

i suggest you go to a motorshop and let them do the dirty job of changing and disposing yuor old oil.

It doesn't cost much even the highest grade of full synthetic oil is abt 24 to 28 bucks.

You probably will be using mineral base oil for starterss during the running in period, that would cost abt 10 bucks depending on with shop you go to.

You might want to make friends with the shop nearest to your home or workplace by changing your oil there.

There will be tons of advise on what to do for your bike but take everything with a pinch of salt.

At the end of the day, you are riding a simple machine meant for daily commuting purpose. If you are looking at high speed, tight corners and torquey pickups. Friend, you bought the wrong bike.

The CBF 150 will definitely give you hours and miles of troublefree riding if you stick to basics, that is the engine i mean. For the outlook of the bike, you can always personalise it to your heart's content.

Hmmm, about the engine oil for our bikes... Any recommendation?

Maybe you guys can help teach me a couple of things about engine oil? like how to identify the good and the bad... trustable brands that kinda thing? And the raft estimation of the price of differen brands... Ha, dont wanna get knocked by motordiams...

Yeah, I know next to nothing about engine oils (and practically everything regarding motorbikes.. Lol..).

Guidance please bros!... :cheeky:

As recommended by the Boon Siew, the 3 initial changes are 800, 2,000 and 3,000 km respectively.

For me, my very first engine oil change was actually at 500, 2nd at 1,000 and 3rd at 2,000 km. Thereon, I intend to follow the recommendation in the the pink card.

A few owners changed their 1st eo much earlier. The usual reasoning was inferior initial eo.

Congats new bike.

If I replace my stock chain to x-ring like Merboy did, must I replace the front and rear sprockets as well?

If I need to change the sprockets, I'll make sure I spray the new x-ring chain with those non-fling, teflon based (I think) chain lube this time. Nothing ticks me off more than to see my two rims smudged with grime. Maybe I'm a weirdo :p, I don't wash my bike at all but my rims are always clean. Only other 'cleaning' done was when the bike is rain soaked, I wipe it dry with a lint-free cloth on the seat (obviously), gas tank and the cowlings. The front wheel mudguard lies the 'original' dust from the day I drove off the agent's premises.

yo bros, any kopi coming up ??

it's been a while since we last met. :D

I like the idea too, but as I've touched other shores lately, I'm refraining myself from mingling with anyone except a few must meet persons, for seven days at least, just to be safe. That means no shopping but solo riding all week :) :) :) :D.

Yo bros,

Yesterday i went to top up my tank...

after topping up abt 3/4, i remembered that im suppose to turn that fuel knob to "ON" as its previously at "RES"...

So half way thru topping up my petrol, i changed it to "ON"...

According to the Owner manual, it says if you top while the "RES" is on, you may be running without researve fuel...

Lol, so in my situation, will i still have my reserve fuel?

Ha, Btw Bros, how long did you guys do your running in?

Manual says 500KM, but the shop LIKE told me 2400KM... Big diff leh..

Hi I wanted to respond to your queries earlier but I was waiting for more experience rider to reply.

Anyway, my takes are, if you leave the valve pointed to reserve (RES) you risk running the reserve empty before you realise it. While if you turn the valve to ON, this will lock-in the reserve so when the normal gas do run out, you turn to RES and proceed to the nearest kiosk.

After top-up turn it to ON is also what I do.

I run-in to about 500 km. I'll follow the owner's manual everytime if you ask me. The run-in process is not exact science, some peeps based on experience and/or hearsay. However, one of my colleague that has riden for many years, run-in his bike to 3,000 km, ramp up his throttle gradually everytime and speed not more than 80 km/h. Too finickee for a YBR 125 I think.
