1. we go 7-11 (or etc) to buy cash card, we pay $7. the card itself will have $5 value.

2. my question is $2 is the card price. or $2 is the deposit?

3. many years ago, when we want to expire or terminate our cash card, we go to the atm machine, take out the value and mail the card back to dbs bank. dbs bank will return $2 to us.

4. what is the practice nowadays?

I have a cash card that i want to terminate. i know i can go atm and select "cancel cash card" and the value should be return to my bank account. But what happen next? do we send the terminated cash card back to somewhere? do you just throw away the cash card? or etc.

i need information with regard to this issue. pls help me if you know the answer.

thanks bro.

i saw the ATM "cash card refund" selection. After select the option, the cash card is the with me. of cos, the cash card cannot be use anymore. Do we throw away or have to send to somewhere.

when we use the "cash card refund" option via ATM, presuming that the card still have $10 value in it. Do we expect to see $12 refund, or $10 refund?

Sorry, if the question sound silly. I am hopping to get the answer once and for all then i will stop thinking about it.

under your reply, "note question 2". i do not understand the $2 deposit and $1 service charge.

For your infomation, the cash card i have is purchase from 7-11. i have about 10 card now. (yes, i keep forgetting to bring cash card and have to buy new one from 7-11 when i am half way going to work)

Let say now your card shows a stored value of $1.00 when you insert it into the IU, when you do a cash card refund at the ATM, the value refund to you will be automatically be $3.00.

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

you will get the refund of the value in the card, plus the deposit of $2 back together in your acct if you do thru atm.

then the card will be rendered useless by the machine, it will show error after you get a full refund (including the deposit). you can throw the useless card away after that. cant top up and if you try to do a refund again, atm will tell you the card has been refunded etc... on xxx xxx date.

this is for posb atm, other banks may vary from above.

Tried with OCBC ATM , refunded amount would be the remaining value PLUS the deposit value of S$2/=

Anyway, bought cash card at 'Cheers' today S$7/= each with a stored value of S$5/=
