Is there a side stand sensor?? Where is yours and how do i trigger that??

Side stand sensor same with your super four. Engage gear when stand is down, engine cut

hey guys, anyone knows if the side stand sensor is a common problem with this bike? i can start the bike but when i change gear it will die. and the side where the side stand is loose.. anyone can help? thanks..

 

Check your cables first or you tried to move off when stand is still down. Engine will cut, you cannot change gear when side stand is down

i bought from m'sia. i understand need to change ecu. but all the singapore r6 is uk spec issit?

why dun u check ur ECU number on google n find out which country its frm. singapore is using europe ECU. even if u get a same spec ecu, u still need to change ur ignition n key n maybe ur wire harness and im not sure if USA wire harness can work on a europe ECU

Americans have home garage so not point having immobilizer but why do u buy a USA bike in e first place, getting an alarm and disc lock is much better n cheaper then doing up ur immobilizer. re-mapping can be done using PC or bazazz to solve the problem

haha.. the thing is.. i am malaysian and r6 or even r1 in msia only imported from US. so i have no choice..disc lock, chain all wont do. to simple to hijack. jb sportbike theft very advance. only immobilizer will make them think thrice.

 

i got ask the msian dealer. they say will cost around rm 8k to install. thats y i see any option here..

wow.rm8k is abt s$3.2k. i believe u can do it cheaper in spore. get a 2nd hand ECU n start frm there

i last hear racewerks have a 2nd hand ecu. not sure is it sold. maybe u can call them first to check it out. 62732203. can look for norman

Actually there is a way to de-immobilise t r6.

The theft is most likely done by lifting t bike up into t van or lorry.

if they take the one with immobilizer they can only sell part. its hard to sell (black market) the bike coz they cannot work with it. they have to replace all key with ecu which is troublesome for them. they mostly wan easy money. so thats y they think thrice. if no immobilizer they wont even think twice. sure must take. so t immobilizer just to reduce the chance kena theft.

I don't know if this will help but i understand the problem now. Sorry Blueblood (hope you don't mind) I always like to propose Original Dealer. Hong Leong Singapore near Ubi. Check with them how much they deal out and the different components required, that will be the price range for gauging. I mean they are the original so they cant be wrong or when they are, you have some one to lean back to cos you are spending a ton of money here so might as well go to the original.

 

Then start from Ebay and start searching for various parts you might need after consulting Hong Leong (if you are using) then various bike shops for price comparison.

 

With the money left over, you can buy the PC from Blueblood...lol. If I am not wrong the mapping can be solve with PC.

 

So good luck with the hunting.....hope the problem gets settled and you can enjoy the ride.

Ahhhh.... i see. I know there is Canada version and one they call R6S, its no wonder the US people can mod like crazy.

R6S is the same as our 04,05 r6 but locally has stop but in e states, they r still continuing. i think there r 5-6 diff R6 worldwide but they all look the same

Hope it helps, knowing from the original dealer will actually lessen the hassle of trouble shooting cos dealing online can be quite dangerous should the supposed parts is missing. Get all the facts right and ask the online people. like that save you the headache. If I am not wrong Yamaha original dealer also available in Malaysia.
