hi guys i have a question. using maxima engine oil now. but i dont know which grade is more suitable for our bike, the 10w-40 or 15w-50. anyone has experience or knowledge about this? eg the pros and cons, benefits of each grade. thanks in advance!

hi , i was just wondering ,why r6 08+ model ? how bout 06 & 07 model? Any differences?

 

Some others ride 08 onwards might be able to share :p but I love my 07 :D

 

08+ has a big diff which it has variable stacks which strongly boost ur mid n high end. others will be facelift and 08+ has a longer stock endcan. the rest r much e same

i'm using maxima ultra 5-40, 15w50 is very thick. I dun like. make e engine feel heavy n less responsive.

oh okay. i infer that the higher grade oil is thicker hence not so responsive. but there should be a trade-off right? otherwise everyone would be using the lower grade oil and the higher grade wouldnt be able to sell in the market!

thicker oil offer better engine protection.

I've try maxima ultra both 5-40 & 15-50 on track, 15-50 onli last me 1 session n it break down while 5-40 can last me 3 session. I guess it more of a personal feed. go according to user manual n service interval it wont go wrong

but my temp on the meter keep shooting up to 116 and fan turn on...

 

but when i stop to check the bike, the engine is cool and not blowing hot air out.

 

my temp sensor sot alr ah?

rainy season coming, gonna rain pretty much everyday. got metzeler z8 to prepare for the wet roads haha, its good. other good tyres for wet roads and high wear rate are michellin pilot road 3 or the new pirelli angel GT. for supersports tyre you can try metzeler m5, the new pilot power 3 or pirelli rosso!

shld be. fan shld turn on at 101. 116 will mean ur bike has overheat.
