i can hear this faint screeching/squeaking sound when i throttle abit to move the bike forward from gear 1. my mileage also dropped frm 250 to 238 before it goes to reserve tank. i just changed new clutch plates in dec. any idea wats wrong guys?

Hi Bros,

 

Initially my clutch cable wears out.Went to the shop to change the clutch cable.Fully clutch in,bike will not move,very steady.However,now the gear shifting has problem.It shifts to 5/6 w.o any problem but shifting it back to 4/3/2/1 will slip.

 

Clutch plate prob?Shift lever prob?

Appreciate yr advise

i m using m5 for my r6 . I wan go petrol station pump air. Any 1 know how much psi should i pump?

would need advise as I m quite worry when riding

Hi all, I have a slight issue on my '05.

 

When I turn the key on to ignition everything comes out well, but when I hit the start I hear a click from just under where the battery sits, and than the Neutral Light fades out while having the oil light blinking. I've checked the oil levels and all seem good. I recently had the relay changed out.

 

What I noticed is:

 

- If I pushed started the bike or jumped it, everything starts up perfectly and the bike's good to run

 

- Also I noticed if I kicked the stand up and down couple times, the neutral light comes out as normal bright and strong and the bike starts up easily.

 

So gathering that, I replaced the side stand switch, but the problem still persist.

 

Any input is appreciated.

Front 250 (36) in the front and 290 (42) rear.

 

That should be the right pressure.

Could be your shifter spring, seen that symptom before, but it was just that darn spring. Won't let stuff go in and out of gear, however, although it's mostly second, it did it in a lot of gears. Dealer also said they've seen that problem a lot.

Yup bro, the diagnostic comes out perfect. No error codes detected.

 

I've just had the battery replaced and check the terminals and secured all well, hopefully thats helps…and would continue monitoring this.

Problem: There's a click the first time i try to start it. after that the neutral light goes out and the oil light starts flashing, then when i hit the starter again there isn't even a click from the bike. the oil light just flashes.

 

Problem Fixed:

 

Got It Started!!!!!!

 

It Was A Combination Of The Dead Cell In The Battery And A Loose Ground!!!!

 

I'm Back Burnin Up The Road!!!!!
