code 18 is exup servo motor stuck. if e previous owner has remove it then it shouldnt be a prob. jus get a servo eliminator n will by-pass e fault. rough clutch can be due to lousy engine oil or previous clutch abuse by owners, a 6years old yr old is not uncommon to change clutch plates.

 

Hi bro thanks for the reply. The issue is when i took over the bike, there is no warning code. It only lights up a week later. Does a aftermarket slip on still have a exup valve system? Any idea how much would clutch replacements costs me? TIA.

as i know onli akrapovic slip on has exup valve. if theres not code means he has not by-pass the servo. it may be hiddin somewhere in the bike. will be ez to trace,jus behind ur rear foot peg. clutch plates set will be about $200+ if i recalled correctly. try adjusting the clutch cable n change ur engine oil first.

a well maintain non track use sprocket+chain typically can last u 2-3years. stock sprocket +a x-ring chain shld last u a good time but if u wanna play wit gear ratio then is a diff story

im using 520 AFAM O-ring chain and sprocket set. Been using the same set for a good 2 years for around 25,000km and its still going really strong. Just take note of proper chain maintenance and it should last u very long. i lube it at least once a month and clean my chain every 4 months
