dear r6 bros, can the seniors or anyone enlighten me where to get clutch perch, or the whole lever set OEM or stock one in sg?

if i were u i would suggest change both tyres la... ur back tyre u also clock up quite a number of click alr rite.. might as well change both..

second hand track tyre u gotta see how bad is the tyre.. if still ok den not so bad... i saw 1 tyre on sale... think he said only went track twice and only clock 1000km on road... 150.. tat 1 can consider... so u should be able to track another 1 or 2 more times max... dun just change the front la.. u wanan bring ur bike down to track and play might as well change both even though u say u hardly track.. haha

hd mine repaired previously at PLANET MOTORCYLCLE for $120-150.sorry i cudnt rmbr d exact cost but very sure its in dat range coz my other frens hd theirs repaired there too...

how abt 2nd hand tyres for track?

 

 

Bro, better DO NOT put on 2nd hand tyre...u asking for trouble.

Juz my advise. I rather spend the money to buy new trye rather than repair ur bike incase u buang.

 

 

it all depends on wat condition d 2ndhand tyres are in.i hv pirelli diablo supercorsa sc2 used for total 16 laps in sepang...hw u judge 'gd' or 'bad' condition of d tyres is up to u to decide.if u ask me y i wana sell it is simply bcoz d need to use fresh set for every race...i hv seen riders 'buang' on track with new fresh sets too.so d ball is in ur court...juz my little thoughts.

actually those that are selling second hand track tyres doesn't mean the tyres are not gd.. alot of ppl that dun track or track once in awhile the tyres are ok.. the tyres are good enough for road use.. maybe 1 or 2 track sessions. but the tyres will not be good enough for race use as wat bro cmr6 has said they require fresh set of tyres every race.

Some prefer after using the tyres for a few track sessions to have a fresh pair or tyres as they are pushing themselves even faster so a new set of tyres gives u more confidence.

As for me i'm also considering a pair of second hand track tyres to use for a couple of mths and maybe 1 track session, after my current tyres finish. for abt 100 odd bucks it's pretty ok if u are using it for 3-4 mths and 1 or 2 track sessions.. all this depends on the abuse of the tyres and whether the compound of the rubber in the tyres are not harden and lose their heat cycle.

of cos of cos if budget is not a problem den the obvious choice will be a fresh set of tyres. but bro if u are intending to get a suit and go down track to play. Even if u say u are just going to go a few laps just to play around i would suggest considering track tyres be it second hand or brand new. I personally would feel more confident on a good second hand track tyres rather den fresh pair of road tyres > saying this is cos i have tried 2ct road tyres on track and i dun feel that good on it or confident. road tyres heat up too fast and after a few laps u will start to feel the tyres slipping abit. BTW this is just IMO....
