I hope that those who had placed their order will be able to get their ride by 16 Jan. You just need to push them... I've waited for mine for about 6 weeks.

Don't forget the CB1000R is a de-tuned '07 Fireblade engine. It's never meant for top speed. It's tuned for mid-ranged. Thus a more torque. You can even pull away at 6th gear! That's how torquey the bike is. At 7k rpm the power delivery is simply amazing!

bro....was thinking of sending both rims for respray to either red or gold once collect my bike...wats your opinion..??? how much does it cost..????

Why pay money for dyno run in and don't get to enjoy riding the bike? I'd rather ride my bike. At least I can familiarise the bike personally. Running in your bike on the road makes you understand your bike better. At least you know what's the limit of your bike. After all you've been waiting forever for the bike to arrive.

i wanna dyno run in is cos i dont wan to hav any problem after running in on my own cos its a new bike. you run in your own is never ever better to had it run in in a dyno machine. and i wanna a hard run in. its not posible to hard run in on my own in sg road. so i give it to the dyno machine.

i dono how u guys think of hard run in (break in the engine) compare to normal run in stats by the maunal.

for my understanding as a enginner. a hard run in is better dan a normal run in and u will gain more HP over a normal run. i know it may sound mad. but its true thats how the engine work. u need to get the piston and the piston ring seat in to the combustion camber nicer and to achive thats u need to do a hard run in.

check this web out its will tell u more.

if u r an engineer????

u should know better not to do hard run.

all engine engineers in engine assembly plant knows too well tat in assembly plants for any type/model engines perform 100% run test of their specifications b4 it is shipped out, it's call quality check.

by then it is too late for your hard run.

do it when overhaul engine with new cylinder block n piston rings

or race bike engine with loose tolerance built-up r re-built for every race.

Does that mean that our engines are already run-in? I don't know about that but I did the hard running in when I got the bike. The most important thing during running is to vary the rpm of the engine. No point "sayang" your engine. And to change engine oil frequently for the first 1000km. I've done 4 oil change for the first 1000km.

I've been doing the hard running in for all my new bikes. So far no problems.

its say 228kmph top but i am sure it can go faster. anyway its a naked bike so even it go that fast lets say 250. i dont think the ridder can take the wind blowing on u.

if u really wanna a fast bike get a sportbike lo. in sg so fast also no use u open up ZOoooM see red light BraKkkeeee. green Zoommm again red braKee again lol. end up u see a 2b bike beside u where u see him like 3 red light away just now haha.

just my 2 cent words. its the Troque thats count. :cheer:

yeah, i agree wif u...the topspeed for all bikes is 90-105km/h

So you trust the hands of others on your precious new bike? I would rather do it on my own. At least if the engine is screwed up it's done by myself.

yes, it is pointless with new bikes to do hard run coz it has been runned in the plant b4 shipped off.

bear in mind tat modern engines r built with tight tolerances.

racing engines with looser tolerances n rebuilt after race.

metalluries for big bikes r more advance n different from smaller bikes.

one example:

cylinder block linears use by big bikes r coated with nickel/silica (a very hard coating), whereas small bike r steel linear (wear faster).

another point to add;

there r no way hard run can set piston rings to linear surface.

first, linear surface has cross-hatch marks created by honing process.

second, cross-hatching is important for oil to clinch on for lubrication n sealing.

third, it's the oil tat seal bond between piston rings n linear surface prevents gas by-pass.

tat's very least an engineer should know.

Form my previous experience dont spray your rim to lighter color. Example last time i ride S4 vtec III with gold, my rear rim very easy dirty after spray chain rude or raining day. I like the black color rim now cos the dirty doesn't see so obvious while dirty. Hehe...

Haha... For me i also just normal run in. Cos CB1R manual also warning dont open full throttler within 500km. I think Dyno run in is open full throttler to let engine hard run in, any way this is depends by owner.

Just a reminder, for akra exhaust if we want install must install pc and Dynojet also. Cos akra web site also warning if without dynojet will damage the engine. So last time i go ask akra + dynojet will cost ard $2000++.

For slider i have price but still checking the price, if order from oversea will cost SGD $105 include shipment. If we order more can share the shipment. I know motowould also have but i need go to check the price if they cheaper. Another 1 will ask motivation custom made will more cheaper. Pls check the attached file. :lovestruck:

Hmm bout the running in thingy...

I'm not very well versed in it coz I myself haven't did running in since I own a bike...

But I've heard reviews that bikes dat were runned in hard performed better in the long term...

And the DynoJet thingy - personally I dun think it would be the same as doin it manually urself on the road, have to consider wind factor also

hard run in...The factory had do it for us already....

All GSXR was put onto dyno and and make sure power is within spec before shipping.....

Read it from BIKE magazine..I am sure others will do the same thing...Cos it doesnt really make sense they dont test the newly assembled product...

How to extract full power.....

Full throttle lo...

if they have confidence to full bore the bike after manufacturing...i am sure you dont have anything to worry...

Soft or hard...2 schools of thoughts...Nothing right and wrong.....

At this space age of manufacturing process..

If you ask mi.....Hard run in but not on dyno...Cos the high speed fans on dyno is just not enough for the high rev engine...All with filter change....

Second link up and down run in are better...nothing beats the >200kph wind...Like I said no right and wrong...

But change the junk oil ASAP as you collect your bike.

My friend R1 change oil at 4km on odo....Oil came out silver colour...200km on odo still silver, 500km on odo, finally gold in colour....Dino oil all the way till 1500km...

I was wondering why people actually let that crap flows in the engine for 800 km before changing....???
