YEAH!!!!!!! GUYS i had just bought my cb1000r from bike pro. hahahaha i feel so high now i cant wait for the time to go collect my bike =P btw i got the silver colour. anyone know how the fuel comsumstion is like? care for a meet up after i get my bike anyone? lets list down all the cb1000r rider contact. i will start first..

maybe in 1 or 2 week time lo. WA 12 - 15km that is :giddy: :giddy: OMG!! i think i be visiting the patrol station every 2 day liao. BTW are we two the only cb1000r ridder in here?

 

think we should try out that stone thingy which u throw into your fuel tank which is say to improve fuel comsumation :sian:

i think there's another, cb1r. he's been quiet lately. maybe he's still on a trip. 12-15km is when i'm riding on small road. once on expressway should be around 18km/l. maybe now the engine is still new. should be able to get more once everything have broken in properly and using a fully synthetic oil.

 

i think the stone thingy is all in the mind thing. it's more of a hypothetical option in my humble opinion.

I did hard running in. With short burst of hard acceleration and deceleration. Did that for the first 500km. Change oil and filter at 100km, 250km, 500km, 1000km, 2000km, 3000km. Oil used was mineral oil.

 

After which can use your own favourite oil.

FYI guys i heard that the yoshi end can for this bike is out and selling at motorworld.

 

i wander is there crash bar or silder for this bike?

Are you sure Terry? I don't remember Yoshimura has developed an exhaust for the CB1000R. Maybe you heard CBR1000R? If there is I'm wondering will it be LTA compliant? I looking at the Akra thou...

hehehe...

i will be collecting my new toy early 09....

ya man....maybe we can have a meet up for all the cb1000 owners...

my oc dont like the green....so i took the silver colour instead...

honda was very very late (sticking to unsold hornet900 n cbf1000) venturing into euro market with a naked bike.

they copied kawasaki z1000 n came out with cb1000r.

y didn't they copy from yamaha fz1, coz honda knows a good bike when they saw it.

yes, it is from superbike mag.

of the 3 bikes comparsion fz,cb1kr n z1k.

they pick fz as the best of the 3.

bias, the best should be cb1kr.

 

 

It's not bias in my opinion. The FZ1N is indeed the most powerful bike in many mag shootout. Honda managed to make their streetfighter's powerband more user friendly. Thus the CB1000R is more easier to handle than the rest. In general, the CB wins in the looks department and easy handling.

hahaha... relax lah. i've waited for 1 month for the bike. to think that the bike is not even available in japan. so in the meantime just do lot's of homework from the net. there are lots of information on the bike. i book the bike even without knowing how it looks like. just knew that it's a cb1000 with a 2007 fireblade engine and design and built in italy. how cool is that?
