One place I like/need to park my bike has about 6 feet of grassy area between the street and sidewalk. Is it illegal to park my bike on the grass? If yes, how much is the fine?

TIA

$70 its called parking on pavement or grass...comes under parking act i think...muz go search >gov.sg den noe...

but i got it once...cuz rdside has zig zag line i chose the cheaper alternative in case....hahaha

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

i believe that was 1 of the question in BTT, when can you park on grass verge?

1 of the answers was: When there are no policeman around?

which sounds pretty true haha

i ever parked my car with 2 wheels on the pavement while the other 2 was on the grass patch & i was fined $70 for it. on the summon ticket it stated "Failure to park as close to the kerb"

WTF? i was already ON the kerb!

but then again... no arguments accepted so LL pay fine

I'll like to ask those who got fined $70 before: who was the one who fined you? TP or the usual Premas/Cisco officers?

I witnessed personally that bikes parked on pavement were not fined whereas bikes in lots without coupons were. Least this encourage you to do the same, I must say there's a whole lot of difference between $8 and $70.

My most expensive dinner was a vegetarian pepper "steak". $4.50 for the meal and $70 for the service.

depends on whether the grass patch is along the rd, park, carpark or any other govt property.

Road- LTA/ROV/TP/any nosy NPP patrol

Park- Nparks/NEA

Carpark- HDB/URA (Premas, Chubb, Cisco, Sembwaste)

Etc- Town Council

Private Property- Wheel Clamp (Private)

As long as there is this rule :'Parking/unauthorised parking in area other than parking lot', they have every right to get your money.
