After riding with steering damper for about 2 weeks, I would say it is ok to have it if you have spare money and you need ride at high speed (> 90km/h) and long distance often! Otherwise it is not a must.

Has anyone rebuilt their Bitubo Steering dampers yet?

If so, can only be done @ Mezzo or?

What would be the damage be(how much)?

Need appointment date & time + leave the item there, or can be done immediately?

Appreciate all constructive replies.

bitubo dampers/shocks requires special tools to open up for servicing, and yes it can only be done at mezzo.

give andrew a call, just in case he might be out of town.

shouldn't take you more than an hour to remove from bracket, strip and clean and service it.

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

my damper's leaking badly.

when turning the handle bar, there's some kind of sounds coming out frm the damper cylinder itself, as i set mine to 9th click.

if fully turn back to 0 click, i.e. free damping, no sound.

it sounds like as if there's bubble restricting the damping rod moving.

not sure abt other ppl's as above symptoms have happened to mine.

& even thou the gahmen's bonus has already banked in, still nt enough as ¾ of it has already went out liao... :weep:

Is it only compatible for CB400?

How about RXZ?

Hi guys, have this Bitubo Steering damper on my Spec 3 much like what Kev's have posted slightly above, changed to Revo recently however the damper doesn't work so well on the new Revo.

I can only turn around 70-80% of the full turning radius and I have to force it to the left in order to handle-lock my bike. Took it off immediately after one ride as the handling feels weird.

My question is, does Revo damper need a different mount or damper as compared to Spec 3? Riding damperless now, feeling so lost
